Nice start. Controlled the game and didn't concede. Give it a few weeks and we'll be winning fixtures like that by 3 & 4 instead of 1-0.

I liked the fact the players looked far more assured on the ball today. Even Slabhead looked like he was caught in 16-wheelers lights, rather than the usual 18-wheeler. And if I was Scott McTominay, I’d be very worried about where my next club is going to be. Normally rate the lad, but he looked 2 steps behind the rest of the players today. The sooner Rangnick figures out that Donny is a more natural fit in his system than McT the better. I think we all want to see the end of McFred and start of Van de Fred or Fred de Beek. |

Really good post-match on 5 Live where, amongst other things, Ralf praised Fred calling him affectionately ”Chapo”
Sure his confidence takes a massive boost from his performance today.

How many Fred's were on the pitch?
He's been having us off for years with his bobbins shooting.Van Basten like now.
Whilst I wouldn't say we completely controlled the game, we kept the ball better than we have in a long time. How much that was down to ourselves our Palace, I don't know and frankly don't care!

Went over to this. First time back in almost 3 years, and ironically my last game over was Olés first game as permanent boss.
Thought we controlled the whole game, while creating very few real clear cut chances. Ronaldo was a passenger. Palace offered very little. Huge optimism though with regards to the future, from the crowd. Singing for Donny all game.
17th time over with my old man. 17 wins!
