I think we will see a huge difference quickly simply from picking a more balanced team (instead of Ole's habit of playing favourites) and playing people in their proper positions (i.e. Fred much better box to box than as a CDM).
Must be the end for AWB. System Ralf wants to play definitely needs full backs good at getting forward with a good delivery and Dalot seems far better suited for the role. Doubt we will get £50M for AWB but if we flog him for £20-£30m it can go towards reinforcements. Telles probably also has a good chance at giving Shaw a bit of competition as he's got a great delivery and Shaw could probably benefit from a bit of a rest after being overused by Ole. And of course with Dalot and Telles/Shaw putting balls into the box Ronaldo and Cavani are going to score lots of goals.
Will be interesting to see how Pogba fits into Ralf's plans. The system suits him a lot better than 4-2-3-1 and he'll enjoy playing box-to-box and will be motivated to show his worth under a proper manager whereas under Ole he knew he didn't have to bother. Of course he is probably leaving in the summer regardless but it would be nice if he could help us win something this year before he goes.
But really I am just so excited. Even in his first game Ralf's made a difference. Clean sheet. Controlled the game. Players seemed to know what they were doing. Clear game plan. Better balance in the side. Some pressing which will only get better with time as more work is done on the training pitch.

How do we check distance covered stats? Wanted to check yesterday's numbers in comparison with previous games. Not sure but 100 % know it will be our highest in years, tackles won the oppos 1/2 was also the highest it's been in years.

Football is unpredictable of course but we really could win 6 or 7 out of the next 8 league games, particularly when Varane returns.

Based on the highlights alone (which can obviously be misleading), Lindelof seemed a lot more confident than his usual jittery self. Maybe the supposed ball-playing defender that we bought is still in there somewhere and some proper coaching will help us see more of it.
Props to Dalot as well, still suspect defensively at times, but has shown so so much more in attack than AWB.

Given the state of our midfield, to not want to see what Pogba can do under the new manager is simply insane.

I'm not going to debate his merit as a player. But as I said, given the state of the midfield, we need to see what he can do under Ralf. To do anything else would be gross negligence.

Giving Pogba a huge new contract with hefty pay rise after 5 years of disinterested underperformance would sum up United more than anything else I can think of.

Top sides seem to get players in and move players out all the time but they just seem to hang around at Utd for years.

I never said anything about giving him a new contract. Whatever.
