I never said anything about giving him a new contract. Whatever. Then what’s the point in to integrate him into the team because he’s off in 6 months. as I said on the other thread ‘ship him out and replace him with a fresh hungry player’.

Pogba and Ronaldo both have the biggest reputations among our players, the difference is Ronnie lives up to it.

While the underlined numbers are great to see, surprising we ran less than average. Maybe because we had the ball more? Either ways, good start.

I wouldnt give him the time of day at this point, what's the point? The club should do whatever it can to offload him in January. If you have to give him half the fee, then so be it. Pound for pound he's been a terrible signing. Alot of it is our fault but a huge part of the problem has been Pogbas attitude and bloody agent. The whole thing before the Leipzig game last season finished it for me.

Giving Pogba a huge new contract with hefty pay rise after 5 years of disinterested underperformance would sum up United more than anything else I can think of. we need to stop holding on to players just in case they come good. pogba, mata, matic,Jones, lingard,Bailey have all been here far too long. Top sides seem to get players in and move players out all the time but they just seem to hang around at Utd for years. Tbf from all those players Bailly has been given the least amount of chances to prove himself. Made of glass ? Then what is Jones still doing here.

We will see what RR does, and we will see what PP does. I will say that the idea that you shouldn't use a player because he will leave the club at the end of the season is silly.

I am not so sure...if you are building for the future and you have an underperforming Prima Donna who only puts in a shift when he can be arsed, how can you rely on him and why would you change your plans simply to accommodate him? It is the future that is important and as has been said Pogba doesn't seem to fit into the ethos that RR is trying to build... He needs players that he can rely on to work hard with and without the ball, consistently...and consistent is not anywhere in any description of Pogba... Listen, I have been a big fan and I think he is hugely talented when he can be bothered but he cannot be relied upon...so we had better build a team / squad that can operate without him... It would be better all round if he were to leave in January...

I don't think RR will build the team around any single player, so I don't think there is anything to worry about in that regard.

I don't think he should be shoehorned into a position where he doesn't belong just to placate him. But he might be good in several positions in a 4-2-2-2. I've seen some stats (from the Athletic) indicating that Pogba presses more than everyone in the squad except Fred. And we all know Pogba can pick out a forward pass. I'm just curious to see how he will work under this manager and system. I'm hopeful, but I understand that most on here are not and are done with him.

There will be a clear out in the summer either spearheaded by Ralf or a new manager. And hopefully Pogba will leave and it will clear space in the squad for a top quality replacement. But the 6 month project is to secure top 4 and hopefully win a trophy or two which requires for the most part working with the players at our disposal so freezing Pogba out simply because he wants to leave and could rarely be bothered under Ole and Jose doesn't seem that sensible. Especially as with his qualities he could be a much better fit in a 4-2-2-2 than he was in Ole and Jose's 4-2-3-1. Play him box-to-box or as an inverted winger and he could do some major damage. And if we are controlling games that will suit him a lot better as he is very good on the ball whereas Fred and Scotty suck on the ball while Donny is very tidy on the ball but unambitious.
