I don't have any sympathy for the view our players are being criticized too much. They got a free pass under Ole and got to keep their jobs and places in the team. They have an experienced coach in Ralf capable of providing a steadying influence and helping them get back to basics and improve performances. But they do not seem to be willing to work with him and instead are lazy and complacent and too busy worrying about dressing room status and influence. And it is pathetic the way that Ronaldo's arrival seems to have ruffled so many feathers when really having someone like him around should have created a buzz and raised standards in much the same way as Zlatan's arrival did under Jose.
And definitely agree that we should have made it very clear that Ralf after his interim term would move into a sporting director type role and work closely with the incoming manager and play a prominent role in the recruitment process. Madness that Fletcher and Murtough are driving the process. The possible consultancy role just adds to the uncertainty and it is no surprise the players are treating him like a substitute teacher and playing up.
I quite like the idea of a Ralf and Ten Hag partnership with Ralf bringing the experience and contacts and Ten Hag providing the charisma and progressiveness. But it would never be allowed to happen as too many incompetents like Arnold, Murtough and Fletcher unwilling to give up any power and control over footballing matters.

I'll get eviscerated by Bestie for this, but maybe Moyes wasn't too far off the mark with his comment about aspiring to be City. Of course we should be. Now. Moyes said it nine years ago when all he needed to do was show some semblance of a spine and not fuck up a winning machine for, like, one season. Waster.

If Ralf has done anything he has shown the whole world that these players are all spineless wankers, I hope he keeps upsetting the players and these frauds keep getting called out, fuck them all.

The thing is this is what our 4th rebuilding job in 10 years? 5 managers in 10 years all with completely different needs and philosophy BS. Several of them complete frauds in terms of coaching level experience Moyes, Solskjaer and Ragnick This is the Woodward decade! Literally the worst CEO in the history of the game and totally backed by the stupid owners!

I refuse to stick the knife into Ralf because it's completely wrong to do so. He's not a manager at this level but nobody rejoiced on this forum because we signed him as a caretaker manager.

We probably won't qualify for top 4 this year. That's what 5/6 top four finishes in 10 years since Woodward took over? Obviously we haven't made 1 even close challenge for the title, so even if their low bar is to finish in the top 4, it's been a failure. They can't even achieve the lowest bar you could set for a club of this size! Pathetic
Even if you excused the first 3-5 years at a stretch post Fergie on a rebuild excuse that might be acceptable, but after a decade to be in this state is just chaotic management. The answer for them is to appoint another marketing guy who was under Woodward!

still fuming. How do professionals just give up like that. Makes no sense whatsoever, regardless of whether you are paid £1 or £500k a week, you have to remain professional. Pathetic group

I could care less about top 4, fuck that shit. I want to see us tumble down the table to 10th. Everyone needs to witness the utter failure of the woodward/ole era, that fat prick Arnold especially.

I don’t want any briefs of about how much they care and that nonsense, I want to see it delivered on the pitch where it counts.

How the hell do we get out of this downward spiral. We have owners who don't want to spend a club structure that has no idea how to run a club or build a winning team so when they do spend they buy overpriced shit.
We have city who have endless funds and a great structure. Chelsea and Liverpool who are light years ahead of us. Now throw in Newcastle. You could conceivably see us not making top 4 for years.
The owners must go but whilst we are lining their pockets they won't
I dont see the tunnel never mind the light at the end of it

The truly damning thing- the vast majority of Utd fans I know aren’t even angry anymore. A 4-1 defeat in the derby would normally prompt an inquest from players, staff and fans alike. Now it prompts a shrug.

Arnold gets the next managerial appointment and the summer transfer window. After that he’s judged by the harshest of standards. He’ll almost certainly fail but I’m giving him those.
