Tuchel dodged a bullet. Rangnick and Erik are both renowned for their coaching abilities but failed to get much out of this team.
And I think most top experienced coaches will look at the state of the squad and refuse to go anywhere near it unless they get assurances that they can bring in the players they want.
I think we have 2 options really:
OPTION 1: Go for a young and ambitious manager who wants to test himself at a bigger club. Amorim and Terzic both come to mind. Thiago Motta is another one. Of those only Terzic would likely be immediately available. Problem with that is they are all tactically demanding so it is whether they'd be able to get through to the players and get them playing the way they want. Erik certainly couldn't.
OPTION 2: Go for a safe pair of hands such as Howe. He's used to working with more limited players and isn't tactically demanding and can keep things on an even keel while INEOS work to upgrade the squad to the point where it might be more attractive to a top manager.
Terzic would be my pick.

With Tuchel out , only manager left with any sort of big club experience is Allegri. He will be better than the likes of Eddie Howe/Potter for sure. Another interesting appointment will be Xavi , he did manage to win the Laliga with a messed up Barca. He will also be able to develop the likes of Mainoo i guess. If we wait till season end we may get a shot at Xabi Alonso or maybe Ancelloti (Real will fire him if they dont win the laliga and CL with Mbappe). How about Amorim? Forgot about him ! I Would love to have him, but too big a step up from Sporting to Manchester United maybe ?

Very much possible they will fire Carlo if they fail to win La Liga, especially with arrival of Mbappe.

Reports in Italy are convinced there is an agreement in principle for Inzaghi to take over from next season as he's already had 2 interviews with INEOS and they are convinced he is the man for the job and are prepared to give him an unlimited budget.
We know how bad INEOS are at covering their tracks so there might be some truth to it. And I think they are callous enough to line up a new boss while Erik is still in charge. I don't think INEOS were ever that impressed or convinced by Erik and always just saw him as a placeholder taking advantage of the fact that Erik has a huge amount of integrity and professionalism and will never walk away.
If there is some truth to this, do people think he'd be a good choice?

I've got to the point of being convinced we're cursed. If he takes charge of the team, I suspect we'll be as bad as usual. I'm sure there is a deep, powerful expectation of failure now in our squad, and that we're years away from exorcising it.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68735539Good write up on here. His CV certainly fits the bill. Main question would be whether he'd adapt to the Premier League but by all accounts tactically he's very flexible.

Honestly thought you were referring to Filippo Inzaghi, thought you'd all lost the plot

Apparently his English not great so that discredits the rumour somewhat . But I guess he has several months to learn
