We’ll play worse and win by more. We’ll play better and lose. One of those, but stops the rot against the blue scouse at that hovel and get us back up and running after last weeks horror show.

Handball by Rashford, great header by Ronaldo to play him in though. Even by RoM’s recent standards, your Rashford agenda is bizarre.

This is painful to watch atm. Honestly, apart from Everton's best Bolton impersonation right at the end there I wasn't overly worried. We looked far more composed in possession. I assumed Tony Pulis has joined Everton.

Win our next 3 and we go 3rd. Still a long way to go. Someone said it a few pages back those two postponed games and the international break definitely had an impact on the momentum we were building. Hopefully push on from here.

ETH wearing a turtle neck. My high opinion of him increases.

Next four games are tough ones. Barcodes, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham. Villa and Fulham round out our fixtures before the World Cup. Get 19 points out of that, and we’re looking rosy.

On the game, we deserved to win despite clawing on with our fingertips near the end

Sancho didnt start , one thing is clear this manager will drop the ones who didnt meet his standards. Good to see.
Casemiro still getting used to the physicality of the league , but his quality on the ball is for all to see. Shame Martial got injured again , he looked quality.
Also bit Surprised Lindelof and Shaw looked decent !

Shaw was outstanding last night. When he plays like that, he's one of the best left-backs around. Hopefully he realises he's got some serious competition there now in Malacia and kicks on from this point in, the manager dropping him certainly looks to have done the business judging by yesterday.

The Maguire signing has long surpassed the waste of money Alexis Sanchez was, at least we didn’t make him captain and there was a good player in there once.

Though as a team we played well. There were periods of one touch passing that were sublime and I assume what ETH is aiming for.
Frustrating that Shaw can't play like that all the time. Dalot isn't a long term solution for right back for me he as prone to mistakes and resultant cards.
Rashford, i can't help feel after most matches he hasn't quite done enough as if he's saving his energy for something but much better than last year.
Good result overall

Lindelof has always been good on the ball for me, so a game like last night where we dominate possession would always suit him better. As we know, it's against a really physical forward he struggles most, Everton's frontline more pace than anything, which no doubt suited him more too.
