Just win by two goals. Don't care about anything else.

Hope we get a half-decent ref. The first guy screwed us. If we get the result and win the group it’ll mark some significant progress.

Not quite sure it is significant progress if we have to win our final game by a three goal margin to top a Europa League group. But I think the true test of our European credentials will come later in the competition when we hopefully come up against some of the better teams dropping down into the competition. In European competition it is not uncommon for a team to look unconvincing in the group stages and then get stronger and stronger as the competition progresses and hopefully that will be our fate.

Main worry for me is squad depth. We don't have the squad depth to compete on multiple fronts this season. We've already seen how much weaker we look without Eriksen and we are paper thin upfront and we will end up burning Rashford out the way Ole did. Also not at all good news that Varane is injured yet again when he made such a good start to the season and Maguire is back in the team.

We're never ones to do things the easy way to be fair.

And great news! Atletico bottom of their group so won't be playing in the Europa League.

It’s significant progress considering where we were at the start of the season. I’m not saying it’s the reincarnation of 99 and emerging from a group containing Bayern and Barca.

This is my worry too , our full strength first team is decent enough but get one or two of them injured and we will struggle. A LOT is riding on Casemiro , Erikson and Martinez staying fit.

No excuse not to go for it - start an attacking side and let them have at it.

Someone here was talking about IPTV a few days back.
Just seen it at a friend's place and fuck me that is some witchcraft.
About to get one for myself as well so I don't need to keep swimming all the time.

Ah I see your point. I was comparing more to previous season European outings (CL knock out stages, Europa League final). Admittedly we were poor in the CL last season and relied heavily on Ronaldo to bail us out and didn't have a particularly strong group then either. It is a second tier competition so unfortunately the only way to emerge from it with your reputation enhanced is to win it. Even Ole reached the semis and final. That makes me more relaxed about where we finish in the group. The only club to fear in the competition is Barcelona but winning the competition will be that much sweeter if we knock Barcelona out along the way.
