Nobody quite shits on their new players like us. Antony has only been playing football in Europe for a little under 3 years, the first 2 1/2 spent in a far easier Dutch league. Call me crazy but maybe we can afford him just a little time before declaring him a dud and a waste of money. We have the worst fanbase for it. If it's not a player it's the manager. And I can guarantee you there are people on the edge of their seats waiting for Rashford to have a poor game so they can say it was just a run of luck or for us to lose a game so they can claim they're still not convinced with Ten Hag. It's just sad at this point. If you think we are bad just take a look at Real Madrid(they where even boos for Ronnie when he first signed) but some could say they demand perfection from every player in every position all the time. I suppose there is a balance between being over critical and demanding high standards(just watch one of SAF post match interviews when he won a cup with Aberdeen.He was fucking slating his own players because he was not happy with the performance). |

Madrids fans may be annoying but they ensure standards remain high, if our fans are as demanding as what's being suggested then we might not have lost a whole decade on the pitch. |

We really need a “dislike” button for some of the downright nonsensical posts that regularly appear on this forum. Why? if one poster doesn’t agree with another posters point of view it doesn’t make it nonsensical. Forums in whatever form shouldn’t just be echo chambers. I’m not asking for opinions to be curbed, so I’m not advocating for echo chambers. I’m saying some of them are utter nonsense. |

Agree it’s about standards. If we want to win trophies we need to set a high bar. We’ve tolerated too much mediocrity and inconsistency over the years. Of course you make some allowances and a big part of the club is developing players and some players need more time than others to adapt. But no player should be immune from criticism or get a free pass or be able to rest on their laurels. Over the years we’ve been over reliant on key players and that only gets you so far.
