Top four isn't winning something. “All four” Apologies. I think it's just muscle memory at this point.

Pellistri Casemiro and Rashford brilliant when coming on, as its been pointed out already McT Elanga and Maguire were crap, Maguires positioning when defending is appalling he needs shipping out, Eth is pushing us in the right direction he`s got some squad building to do but its taking shape.

It obviously shows the lack of squad depth, but I think really outside of City, everyone is lacking on that front. Arsenal are flying this season but they weren’t great the night before against Oxford either. Nobody is able to compete with City on that front, hopefully that changes once we’re sold. Newcastle will also have the resources to build a strong squad full of options.
The game wasn’t great. Antony’s goal was fantastic but needs a lot of work on his weaker foot. Slows counter attacks down a lot when he’s having to stop to cut inside. Having said that, it’s his first season, he’s already scored some goals, he shows flashes of unbelievable potential and we’ve struggled to find someone on the right side for so long that he’s already far ahead of what we have seen the last few years. These goals he scores are very Arjen Robben. Everyone knew what he was going to do as well but nobody could stop him.
Maguire is shit.
Buzzing to see Rashford keep his run going. It’s only Charlton init, but it just keeps some momentum and positivity heading into a difficult few games.

Seeing as we missed out on the original. If he can sharpen his skillset and devastate opponents doing it, why not.

That was a tough game to watch. The drop of in quality is shocking. Fred and McTominay together is just awful. It's amazing we finished 6th and not worst last season. Fred can do it if he's with the right partner, but McTominay is utter shit. He can't even dominate against a league one midfield. I don't know how he stayed on the pitch. He needs getting rid of at the earliest opportunity. The only time I noticed Elanga is when he was subbed off and I was excited to see Pellistri come on as I thought he might get a start and he was brilliant. Elanga needs a loan with a view to a sale and Pellistri upgraded to his game time. Martinez looked a bit shaky which isn't a surprise as he's probably still rusty. Antony was a constant pain. Super goal, but he's so predictable. The ONE time he cut back on his right, he then cut back on his left for no reason, instead of just putting one in the box.
Casemiro wasn't great when he came on and then suddenly he's assisting Marcus, who was also quiet until his 2 goals and that can be what happens with better players. Pop up out of nowhere to produce. McTominay and Elanga were terrible all the way through, offering nothing, ever. We absolutely need better back up players if we have any hope of mounting serious title charges.
Oh and Garnacho is going to be some player. A bum off seats kind of talent. Needs to keep things simpler at times though and play a pass. Still raw, like Ronaldo in his early years.

Nothing wrong with beating the man with pace or skill on the outside,we've had numerous players in the past that have made very successful careers doing it.

really hope pellestri is given a chance, it will mean less pressure to get Sancho on the field. It will also mean that Antony will know he is not guaranteed to start when fit. The lad works very very hard, nice feet, decent passing and likes to run at people

20 wins in 49 last season! That's fucking rancid. 21/22 needs locking in a vault, deep inside the darkest caves and forgotten about.

The lad works very very hard, nice feet, decent passing and likes to run at people ETH wants to give him a few games on the left to see if he's a bit less predictable. Most manages have him worked out and that can be seen in the way teams set up against him(they just show him the outside and block him from cutting inside). Bar the goal even Charlton Athletic from the championship pretty much nullified him last night.

There are rumours Pellestri is a bit unsettled. And not surprising considering this was his DEBUT two years after signing him while Elanga has featured over a dozen times this season and he got injured in the summer so we couldn't get him a decent loan move.
It is tricky when every game is a must-win but with Antony doing little to impress aside from scoring the occasional goal and Sancho still side lined he has a wonderful chance to impress and hopefully he will get sufficient chances to do so. At the very least that will increase his chances of getting a really good loan move next season when Amad returns.
Elanga needs to be sold or at the very least loaned out in January. There is no need for him. He's useless and he's been given more than enough chances.

And instead of backing him this winter the Glazers have decided to tie one hand around his back for the rest of the season. The could have used the money we are saving on ronaldo to get him a couple of stop gaps in until the end of the season.

Yeah I would love to know what Erik Ten Hag sees in Antony besides being flashy and having a bit of swagger. Reminds me a lot of Depay who could also score the occasional goal. really hope pellestri is given a chance, it will mean less pressure to get Sancho on the field.
