The club should appeal the red card and point to the Fred incident. I don’t think we should as we’d lose and he’d get an additional game which would put him out of the league cup final.

Sure even if we did appeal, and it was upheld as a 3 game ban, the time taken for the appeal would shift it for a certain cup final absence.

Yeah that certainly makes it look less aggressive. Just seemed such an unusual movement to go for the throat to hold him off though. Don’t see it being overturned.

Still paying for the goal against City and I don’t want to go down the RAWK road. 👀

The club should appeal the red card and point to the Fred incident. Nothing to do with Fred, really. There should not have been a red card, full stop. The footage showing Casemiro and Hughes hugging and smiling at each other after the "assault" that the VAR clowns imagined should be enough

He was wrongly sent off and the club should appeal that decision.

The issue is that the decision wouldn’t be decided until after the 1st Leeds game at least which rules him out the final if it doesn’t go our way. I think we just have get to get on with it. The games we have should be winnable without him.

Changed my mind. Not a red. That view shows what a farcical decision it was, these officials are the worst we`ve had in a very long time, and VAR has actually made them worse.

Not only should we appeal, but imo we should file a complaint about editing the footage before showing it to the ref. No matter how shit Mariner is, he would not have shown the red card if he saw the full footage.
