Quite frankly I would be rather disappointed with the league cup and top 4 finish. A quiet summer or lack of clearout would also compound the issue. We gotta beat Brighton and city, no more excuses for these cowards. They need another trophy, finish 3rd and stop these diabolical collapses. 3 midfielders needed, striker (possibly 2 depending on ….), goal keeper, Rb and 2 cb’s. That’s 8!!! Needed. Maguire, lindelof, one of the rb’s, Jones, bailly, Williams, telles, martial, Elanga, Fred, donny, MCT and Sancho all (13!!) need out. Just pathetic last night and the worst thing was it was from far far too many player. a few weeks ago I thought that was very low on the priorities list but now I think we may need a new keeper this summer. DDG’s distribution is shit, he has never been able to command his area making us shit at defending corners and set pieces but recently he’s letting in a few he should really be saving.

Can I say I absolutely fucking loathe Sancho? Like Pogba levels of loathing. He’s such a fucking useless footballer and such a fucking coward ! A coward on the pitch and now off it as well ! Fuck Ole and Woodward, the useless bastards for lumping us with him and Maguire.

Another night that can be traced right back to Joel Glazer.

This isn’t a positive. Because those players will be at the club next season. Therefore highlighting it can only be a negative, as it makes me unbelievably angry.

Agree on De Gea. This will get me some abuse, but he's in Lloris territory for me now. He can make blinding saves and keep us in games, but no other keeper at any big or even decent sized clubs has made as many basic goal costing errors as him over the past few seasons. He's either brilliant or shocking. The top keepers are either good, great or brilliant. They don't drop the absolute basic bollocks he repeatedly does. As I say, Lloris is the other keeper I can think of who is similar. We're getting nowhere with him as the regular number 1, it's as simple as that.

He'll end up at Everton or Villa in 2025 as they try to rescue him, and by 2027 will be in Turkey or somewhere. And when he hits 30 he'll look back and wonder just what went wrong. He's a coward. He offers nothing. No goals, no assists, no effort, no tracking back, no fight, no desire. He's just there, a body in a shirt on the pitch. I'd honestly rather have Dan James back than see Sancho in the team, at least James tried and had pace; Sancho is just a complete nothing player.

Fully with you. The way he just makes some gaffs, worst thing is his gaffs always cost us goals. I have seen Alison make some major gaffs but not all cost them, DDG it’s just crazy sometimes and last night if I am the club I tell him sign on what we offer or go. He is overpaid by at least £200k a week and it’s just not on anymore.

Need that Qatar money. It’s the only way the likes of Maguire, Sancho, bailly, martial can be told to get lost at any cost. Under any other ownership they will stay because we can’t afford the loss This is the key here. We can all say ‘Sell Sancho, sell Maguire etc’ but unless you are practically giving them away for free, who in their right minds are buying them? Honestly, who is paying actual cash for Harold? Not even Everton would be that stupid.

Midfield, midfield, midfield....... the engine room is THE most important area of the pitch, we need more pace and power in there, technically good but also able to carry the ball. We we're overrun and outmuscled last night and it wasn't the first time it's happened. It's ok playing the likes of Forest who gave us all the time in the world but when it comes to the better teams we struggle like fuck.
I've been saying we need 2 signings in midfield but i'm with mightyez now, we need 3!
And as for Martial, someone said to me he's been here 8 years now! 8 FUCKING YEARS! he's not far off a testimonial!

on another point, as annoyed as i am their goals over the whole tie were fuckin laughable,
Goal 1 - Malacia lets the ball go thinking it will go out of play, realises it's not and in scrambling back deflects the ball in to his own net stopping the cross Goal 2 - 50p header looks to be going a mile wide until its hits Harold's massive head and deflects in Goal 3 - De Gea passes to Harold on the edge of the box with 3 converging on him, he passes it straight at their players legs, it deflects in to another players path and he scores Goal 4 - 1st minute of the 2nd half, corner comes in, no challenge as per usual, comes off his shoulder and loops over De Gea in slow motion, probably should have done better! Goal 5 - Long ball forward, De Gea comes out to sweep up, complete miss control, player rolls it in from 25 yards
It's not like they ripped through us creating chance after chance in open play, it was just plugging away and working hard and they knew we'd give it to them, absolutely put it on a plate for them! that is lack of character, steel, balls, guts, professionalism, whatever you want to call it, fuckin shambles.

Not even Everton would be that stupid. Sancho was never the player he was hyped up to be. He's worse than Martial when it comes to hiding. I've lost patience with De Gea at this point. I call into question his professionalism because that 3rd goal was appalling, just play it out wide or clear it up field, dont fucking give it to the striker. I remember Barthez doing that once when we were 6-1 up and he never played for the club again. At this level you have to be utterly ruthless, else these kinds of mistakes just snowball into each and season.

I think a part of good management is overcoming adversity and dealing with sub-par options and still getting a team performance greater than the sum of the parts. Fergie managed some pretty poor Manchester United teams at times and still kept winning trophies and the occasional title. I think we've seen with Ten Hag that when we are at full strength and the players are on form we are a good team that can play some good football and beat anyone. So if we get super rich Arab owners then we are all set. But I don't think that is something we can count on by any means. You'd pray no matter what happens players like Maguire, Wout, Sancho, Martial, Scotty etc. won't be around next season. But just like all his predecessors including Fergie, Erik will probably still have to field some pretty mediocre squad players from time to time and get a result. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world , and we got ETH to play the modern progressive football. There is no use getting a top coach and asking him to make do with mediocre shit players who belongs in crystal palace or burnley. Fergie may have done it but he is arguably the greatest ever , its not a fair comparison , and even Fergie had a core of world class winners in his side all the time. We have Casemiro and thats it.

Sancho is approaching Lingard levels of uselessness. Actually at this point of time i think Lingard will offer more.
Only 'positive' is we didn't give him the number 7 and embarrass ourselves again.
