Did they score though? Did Haaland make a difference. Had we’d been at it 💯 we win that. I don’t get how that’s controversial. It isn't controversial I just completely disagree with you. Conceding the fastest FA Cup Final goal ever meant we were on the back foot immediately but even without that city were confident. League champions again, going for the Treble next week. We were a box to be ticked and it looked like it. Nobody could sense where we could get an equaliser from and the penalty was from a decent but rare break. City were in second gear. We laid nothing on them. It never, I mean not for one minute, felt like we had it in us to cause the upset. We have to be honest about this. 13 fucking seconds. That first goal is just one of those things that can happen in football and is was a top strike tbh. Cheating aside, When you are playing a team at the top of their game(probably the best they’ve ever been)and you are trying to counter them with sancho and rashford(who seems to have reverted back to type) as our main goal scoring threat you’re on a hiding to nothing. even that lazy twat martial couldn’t stay fit for this. Also losing our best defender hasn’t helped either. on top of that we had an 18 year old bright spark(who should have started)as our only decent option that could come off the bench(all of citys bench probably walk into our fist team). Lets get these fucking parasites out and sign around 5-6 top players.

But it came from our players being gutless wasters. We need at least 10 top class players. More like 13-14 really because the squad is shit too. Yeah, yeah, 'realism' but that's the bare fact of it. Too many bluffers and 'maybe next years' in our squad.

You need to be alert from the first second that first goal wasn't defended and a very hard job soon became mission impossible.
fucking wasters

‘Fucking wasters’
Seriously? This is where we’re at now? We lost 2-1 to the football equivalent of Lance Armstrong but the players are fucking wasters?
Ok.

Had ETH been backed in January(striker and another mid)and 2 of his signings weren’t injured we could have won that game. yes we are a level below them but it’s unfair to tarnish the whole side with that brush.

Another point.
Is that shot for the first goal available with Martinez in the starting line up?
I think he’d have closed him down.
I know it’s clutching straws but it’s just a thought.

Pretty harsh for sure, we just ain't good enough. There's no need in this instance to question the players attitudes. The players tried, but they were clearly second best and the manager only had one player who he could change the game with but he is only 18 after all. We struggled to beat their press but when we did, we just didn't have the quality or self belief that we could score. We need to invest heavily in midfield. That area is in desperate need of energy because the game just passed Eriksen by, because we had no real way to squeeze them and get the ball back, so he could influence the game. He just ran around then got subbed. Yeah we need more firepower upfront but midfield is and has always been a deciding factor in big games. We can't go into next season with just Casemiro as our one top class midfield player. The players we are being linked with tend to be midfield players, which is encouraging.

Sometimes you just have to accept you were beaten by the better side. There's no shame in it. Their quality shone though and hilighted the current postion we're in and where improvements need to be made. It was far from mission impossible, in fact after the goal I'd say we were the better team in the first half. The goal caught everyone by suprise, They had the legs in the 2nd half against a side that looked like they'd played a game every 3 days for the last 5 months. In general some of the players in this squad are wasters. But yesterday its ridiculous to label them that, especially with how weve played against the top teams away from home, we had more chances than they did. We just couldn't convert them.

Tbf Lindelof shouldn't have let the ball bounce in the first place. It was just a brilliant strike. Think if it was 10 minutes in it wouldn't have happened. Just caught everyone off guard so early on.

This is effectively what I’m saying. The players showed up, they did their best and they aren’t ‘fucking wasters’, it’s just City are better than we are, for a myriad of reasons (most of which is pure cheating). ETH has worked a minor miracle considering the shitshow he inherited. If you want one moment to sum up where we are as clubs, he has to resort to bringing on Weghorst, whereas City decide not to bring on Alvarez, such are their options. Alvarez, who we were told to buy, by the way.

Been waiting to find a clip of it before mentioning it but this shit enraged me yesterday. It's an element of his game that he really needs to address. Mentioned it before but he fannies out of nearly every 50/50 challenge, in fact a few of them do. You expect your bigger names to be doing better.
