Eriksen did his best? He was a non entity, would not put himself about.
Sancho well really thatās his level thus far.
Bruno wasnāt at his best

DDG not at his best
Come on guys we gotta keep it real.
Quite a few players let themselves, teammates and fans down yesterday.

City despite their ffp issues are an excellent side Stew yes we all know it, this should have been hammered into our players heads before kick off if they didnāt already realise, Iām honestly not sure if some do. The very least you have to do is give 100% effort and challenge for each ball like your life depended on it, I didnāt see it from some of them but thatās me I expect a lot from players on extortionate pay for wearing the club shirt. |

Pretty harsh for sure, we just ain't good enough. There's no need in this instance to question the players attitudes. The players tried, but they were clearly second best and the manager only had one player who he could change the game with but he is only 18 after all. We struggled to beat their press but when we did, we just didn't have the quality or self belief that we could score. We need to invest heavily in midfield. That area is in desperate need of energy because the game just passed Eriksen by, because we had no real way to squeeze them and get the ball back, so he could influence the game. He just ran around then got subbed. Yeah we need more firepower upfront but midfield is and has always been a deciding factor in big games. We can't go into next season with just Casemiro as our one top class midfield player. The players we are being linked with tend to be midfield players, which is encouraging. This is effectively what Iām saying. The players showed up, they did their best and they arenāt āfucking wastersā, itās just City are better than we are, for a myriad of reasons (most of which is pure cheating). ETH has worked a minor miracle considering the shitshow he inherited. If you want one moment to sum up where we are as clubs, he has to resort to bringing on Weghorst, whereas City decide not to bring on Alvarez, such are their options. Alvarez, who we were told to buy, by the way. They conceded a goal after 13 seconds in the first half and after 5 minutes to an obvious set piece routine that city do all the time in the second. They didn't even hit any of those cheating fucks hard enough to injure them for the European Cup final. It was a derby. It was to stop city winning The Treble. It was an FA Cup final. And our players offered basically nothing. Fucking abject self-indulgent wasters. Please can we be honest about this. |

I think the effort was there but we didnāt raise our game or make it at all difficult for them. I said before the game that every player needed to play at their best to give us a chance and that didnāt happen.
Fred and Sancho and Eriksen in particular were poor and Rashford showed why he isnāt a centre forward. Bruno was ok but as captain he should have been grabbing the game by the scruff of his neck and I think Erik made a mistake starting Eriksen ahead of Garnacho and should have played Bruno in the middle. Dave wasnāt great either and Lindelof struggled at times.
And it could be a blessing in disguise. If we won a cup double we might be lulled into complacency the way we were after the first cup we won. Erik should realise a lot of his players arenāt good enough to win trophies with and should insist hard on upgrades this summer.

Ok Citeh are top dogs and you have to ask would Pep sit there and watch Sancho doing very little to influence the game ? Like fuck he would heād get ripped to shreds and dropped instead of repeatedly getting selected.
Maybe Casemiro and Martinez would get in Cityās team at the moment at a push.
