Looks like Osimhen will definitely be moving, either in Jan or in the Summer. Cataclysmic own goal from Napoli. Was it though? I think the player is being really soft. 🤷‍♂️

I think we need to understand the context. There is a lot of racism in Italian football so it is understandable Osimhen might be extra sensitive when it comes to being made fun of.

CH and new owners please. CH seems so unsettling compared to CB

Watkins has scored another couple for Villa and it’s only half time, really like the lad we should have gone for him ages ago.
edit, got his hat trick

Lots of talk about inacio, but we had this leading up to the summer. He has a buyout of ÂŁ50 million, I'd be seriously looking into that in January. He is a left CB and this means that Martinez has competition but first and foremost is not rushed back.
Would also be hoping we are scouting for a striker that we can bring in January. Can't put everything on Hojlund for the whole season, Martial mentally is not there and it shows in his performances, he doesn't want another spell on the sidelines, from his perspective I get it but it doesn't help us

None of the 3 I would be mad at bringing in. We need a solid backup/future CB for Varane to pair with Martinez and a cover for Martinez as well. I'm ok with Lindelof staying because when he's not next Barry he is not clueless.

I can't see us buying a CB in January. I think Erik is resigned to keeping Maguire at least until the summer and there isn't an obvious source of funds. Any interest in Sancho is going to be on an initial loan deal. We will probably keep Scotty around with the state of our midfield. We will do our usual nonsense of exploring a few cheap loan deals depending on who is injured at the time.

Would make sense for all parties, and if we manage to get De Gea to agree to lower wages then we've pretty much ended up where we wanted to be (i.e. to keep De Gea on reduced terms).
Well liked, more than good enough to do a job and eventually he'll get a proper send off.

Part of me hope he laughs and tell us to fuck off. But part of me wants him to come back so he can get the sending off he deserved.

He’s tweeted a vague thinking emoji, so we can read into that either way can’t we.

A short term deal makes sense for both parties.
Dave doesn't want to go to the Middle East or USA so if he wants a move to a European club this summer he needs to put himself on the shop window and play some football and we are still high profile enough that good performances will get noticed.
We need cover for Onana during AFCON and a bit of competition as well in case the errors start creeping back into Onana's game.
Main issue probably is our inability to guarantee gametime and wages. But I think with his wages the main issue was the length of the commitment. On a short term deal we would probably be more comfortable giving him a generous package.
