Wouldn't paying players off the remainder of their contracts impact the FFP? Hence why it makes sense to run down contract etc? Surely if you negotiate a lower payoff it would be better all round? Obviously player has to accept. If that's the case we should have offered him money to leave Jan 1st, Likely another team would have signed him and he would still be earning. Anyone with better FFP knowledge please help

Madness and when you add the countless other nightmares, it always boils my blood how these previous CEO's and the Glazers were considered "good at the commercial side" They wasted a fortune of the clubs money and time by not being commercial enough to have the vision or put the right people in place to maximise returns and results. At least we seem to be at the beginning of correcting this.

Anyone with better FFP knowledge please help Being consistently injured wouldn’t be a good enough reason to tear up a contract, unless you had put in very specific language around appearances etc, which we clearly didn’t. Every sick note at every club would just be released, which is illegal in employment law, nor would the PFA allow it. Learn from this guy and be very careful with extensions in future.

Ya and there is no way he is going to be open to negotiating less of a salary or buyout when he can do what he's done most of his time here, then maybe get a couple matches in before his contract expires to trick another club into signing him.

The guy is a straight up waste of talent. So annoying, he could have and should have achieved alot more. Mental that he is only 28 years old!! That should be peak performance

Waaaaay too much chatter about Callum Wilson for my liking £18 million to prop up the toon, no thanks. They need to knock the £10 mill off and there would be takers galore

Take stock and save up for the summer, season is a write off anyway.

Take stock and save up for the summer, season is a write off anyway. Find a budget striker to help cover Hojlund is the only thing I would say get but strictly on loan as Martial wet toilet paper body is basically out for the rest of the season at this point, but ultimately agree with you. just get through the season and make the real changes

I like Wilson as a player, and he has a solid scoring record.
But, he's always injured! It really would be just like United to bring yet another crock in. Suppose with Jones and Bailly gone there's room in the treatment room for someone else now.

Take stock and save up for the summer, season is a write off anyway. 100% maybe a couple of half season loans but the main thing is to get the staff at the top sorted first.
