Problem is the most obvious candidate for these goons is already on the coaching staff overseeing this shite. Suppose we should be grateful Southgate remains in employment.

We've already sunk £400m buying Erik pretty much his own team. So I cannot imagine much appetite from the Glazers to hire another manager who will of course want to spend a similar amount for yet another rebuild.

I think I am more worried about the managers decisions. Amrabat LB, why? Play Dalot there. It was a must win game! Get the lad is his best position to support his team. Bruno had a stinker at palace, rest/drop him! Onana needs to be taken out the firing line, let him know he has competition
This guy has to help himself because defeats simply managers sacked more especially when players start putting in 5/10 performances.

Regardless of whether it’s right or not, at what stage do we think ETH may face the sack? I’m a long way from wanting him gone and think the Glazers tend to hang on for far too long anyway to try and save money. But others elsewhere seem to think a loss at the weekend could do it ahead of the international break… He resembles a man who doesn’t have the stomach for it at the moment. He’s been dragged into deep water and none of the other managers post Fergie have made it back from this. I agree, no one post Fergie has turned things around when it started to feel like this. Although, this is the first time I am very opposed to replacing the manager and I believe many who previously were in favor of replacing don’t fancy that either this time. What I will say though is that he really didn’t help himself with his transfer decisions.

De Gea is still a free agent btw. 😇 I think replacing him the way that we did was the catalyst of what we are seeing this season so far. It both hurt the strength of the team as well as the morale. Someone mentioned a few game threads ago DDG’s early days and the errors he made. Valid points, but I think the context was missing - when we signed and then tolerated DDG’s mistakes, he was a 20 year old GK who just replaced a world-class GK who decided to retire. Now, we replaced a top GK with many good years ahead of him with a GK who’s in his mid/late 20s, and should expect from him to perform far better than he has. This is also without even talking about the money that was spent on Onana could’ve been used to sign the Korean CB we were presumably interested in that signed for Bayern. I’d take a top CB+DDG over Onana any day of the week right now.

The possible saving grace for ETH is the lack of funds to pay him & the staff off. If they can find a few £££ down the back of the sofa & this shit show continues up to the break he could be well be gone! No top manager is going to want the job.

ETH may get canned as the parasite filth try to save some face but (I) the club probably can’t afford it and (ii) deep down everyone knows it makes fuck all difference who the manager is

I wish he’d say something like the keepers fucked up badly etc etc rather than the same I believe he’s a top keeper nonsense.

It’s not going to show accountability. That would come from dropping him, which he can’t do as Heaton is injured (of course) and the other guy looks like a disaster in waiting.

There’s a black cloud over the club. Look at the difference the change in ownership made to Newcastle. It was party time once that fat bastard went. For all his positive attributes, the signings have been diabolical. Most worryingly, a lot of people here were saying how bad they looked from the off. The summer was just nonsensical. We’ve got Dave sat on the dole and a clown in his place. Mount is shite, but also we did not need that type of player. Fair play though, the big lad up top looks really exciting. Literally the only positive we’ve got at the moment.

They’re all fucking useless and are once again helping take the heat off the owners. Sickening. Ten Hag looks so far away from being the man for the job. Shit signings, confusing selections, too much favouritsm with underperforming players and despite being in charge for well over a year he hasn’t stamped a style of play on the team. The signings of onananana and mount started my doubts about him. this isn’t going to end well but it will end very soon bar some major turn around. I actually like Mount , he is an excellent player , I would play him over Bruno for a few games.

If we had addressed most of our issues and then signed him for good squad depth then fine.

Mount has been one of the better signings,he was our best player Saturday before he got hooked for no apparent reason,he played well again last night, his season is only just getting going, far too soon to be calling him shite.

There is the problem, still no clear direction or plan for which ETH must shoulder the blame as much as the clowns allegedly running the recruitment.
