Scholes is absolutely right here, even the Youth teams are poor, massive clear out and restructuring needed..... Paul Scholes has slammed the Glazer family for Manchester United’s decline, saying: ‘The only thing world class at the club is the history.’ The United legend is hopeful however that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover of the club can revive their fortunes, though there is a lot of work to do. The British billionaire is set to buy a 25% minority stake for around £1.5billion, which will see him largely take control of the club’s football operations. Ratcliffe had hoped to complete a full takeover, but the Glazers’ are determined to retain control, much to the fury of fans and former United stars who are desperate to see the back of their ownership. The Red Devils have declined heavily since the American family bought the club in 2005, with the side no longer a dominant force on the pitch, while their facilities pale massively in comparison to their rivals in England and beyond. Discussing Ratcliffe’s impending arrival, Scholes told TNT Sports: ‘He’s got a lot do. This is a world class football club but it’s not behaving like it, it’s not performing like it. ‘From the first-team to the youth teams. I watched the U19s today – they got beaten by Copenhagen. It’s not right. ‘This is one of, if not the biggest club in the world, he has to change almost everything. The whole club is underperforming. It’s a massive job to come into! ‘But the fans won’t be happy. The fans don’t want the Glazers here. I reckon that 25% is eventually just a stepping stone for him taking control of the club.’ There have been rumours that should United’s poor start to the season continue, Ratcliffe could look to replace Erik ten Hag, but on that front Scholes still has faith in the manager, adding: ‘I think he’s the right man for the job. ‘I like him. He’s almost been thrown out the lions, left on his own to defend everything’ Just on the youth teams, my lad who plays on a Saturday, every game there is city, Burnley and Liverpool everton scouts at the matches, I never see any utd scouts at the games, and rarely hear of any of the local kids going into there development squads these days, obviously they still have a huge pull, but seems like all the young lads want them to go to city, who's facilities are lightyears ahead of ours.

So let me get this right, Mctominay with 3 goals should be benched? Maguire should be benched for Evans or Lindelof albeit Maguire has done well. ETH is the problem. I have heard it all now. On a more realistic note, Antony is pathetic, get rid galore. This is where a competent DOF is needed as Antony should never have been purchased and not for the wild wild west sums we paid. 2 penalties to the other side in his last 2 games, one fortunately for him was saved. If as a fan you want to see us remaining rooted to exactly where we are then he starts. If you have any kind of standards he’s a bench player at best. Fellani was hounded for less. Watch his game and view it without’stats’. If we’re struggling to score goals then that’s on the manager who neglected that need. The manager has always been straight with MCT, if you are on form, i will play you. Irrespective of what you say it makes no sense to have dropped him last night or for the previous game, that's a stupid manager creating issues for himself in a fragile dressing room. As a fan I want us to do well, I want common sense to prevail. He is gonna start until he has an absolute stinker, or others that are more gifted step up and start performing.

We all know about his game, he is simply in the team because of the 3 goals and the fact they bailed us out, manager should then reward him by benching? What do you think that does to the fragile minds in the dressing room? Also get ETH out and who comes in? Klopp? Pep? Carlo? None of them touch us

The handball against Sheff Utd was harsh and imo wasn't even a handball and last nights penalty was a joke of a decision. Irrespective of whether or not people rate him he's playing better than those around him so he starts. People need to focus on those that aren't performing over players that are just because they don't like them. People want the manager to be playing our best players, on current form McTominay is one of those. It's not his fault those around him throwing in the towel yet again.

To be fair to Maguire, apart from a few fuckups at the back (not only him, at one point there was a 3 on 1 and we still lost our man???) that left him chasing back, he didnt do much wrong. Prior to his goal, it was Maguire rushing out from the back to win the ball and the corner, seemed like the only one with some urgency.
Amrabat, I am not sure, he had one decent game (his first one), and he has looked bang average, just a headless chicken running around the pitch but doing little else. He shouldn't be made permanent if this continues.
Mount is basically McT but slightly better in my view, only difference now is that McT has got us the goals and has been in form. He didnt do much yesterday but he was good going forward when the ball eventually ended up there.
Still though, it was another shit performance, so boring to watch and we struggle to get past midfield and the opposition do it to us with ease. Nothing to look forward to this weekend. I know City have been wobbly but they will put 3 or more past us this weekend.

the hard fought victory over the Mighty Copenhagen will be a great catalyst going into the game against City.

Knowing our luck we'll actually beat them. Not getting my hopes up obviously, but atm our inconsistency make shock us all.

What a world we live in a United supporters.... Gave Onana, McTominey, and Slabhead absolute hairdryer treatments for being the worst things to every dawn the badge and over the last couple weeks they have:
Scored 4 goals: 1 to tie 3 to winners Saved a PK at the death
Fucking hell....
Our midfielders are wasting a proper striker in Hojlund... I will beat the drum until it breaks. He makes runs into the box, in where he has to be for crosses and they couldn't be bothered to feed the kid.

This is probably the one and only time where I feel a change of manager really wouldn't make a difference in any way whatsoever.

Running around like a headless chicken is bound to happen when you're the only one in midfield, the issue might not be the player but rather the setup and tactics and/or the brain dead players he's playing with who can't recognise danger or know where to be without someone telling them, ie. lack of footballing brains! That's not to say i think he's a world beater but there are mitigating circumstances to his performance, midfield is all over the shop
