Players will be in a for a shock if they think they’ll be pulling the same shit they have in previous years.
This is a club that’s becoming very serious again.
Board room, manager, coaches, new players & bad eggs moved on.

Jim has put his hard earned cash into this project and he wants hard work and professionalism throughout the entire club. I read loads of posts on socials slagging him off for what people see as trivia matters like the state of the IT room or dirty changing rooms but those little things joined together will morph into a new mindset throughout the club(including the players). you’re either on the bus or you can fuck off elsewhere.

That's what I don't understand from those people. That shit adds up and when players come from lesser teams that have better facilities than we do it wares on them, players that have been here their whole career and see nothing change it wares on them. on top of losing it doesn't make anyone want to try harder. SJR is addressing all off that but with that comes the expectation of you put the work in and win. Anything less now gets shown the door....

Those fans that said “just pay the fucking 20 million” this is what happens when you have competent people in charge(at last). around 18 million saved to go towards the squad overhaul. we are no longer a club that everyone takes the piss out of.

I admit I was one of them… No idea how they got the price down so low (assuming the figures are correct) but good news all round…

The Ashworth and Branthwaite situations were hopefully the best things to happen to the club.
Every club around Europe knows what a joke we were. If they have a 40M player and United come knocking, just say "We want 70M" and sit back. United will offer 40, then 50, then 60, then 65, then finally say "Oh OK, 70M it is".
I don't blame Everton or Newcastle for 1 second for thinking the same and making outrageous demands. United have just shown every other club watching that those days are gone. We'll come in with sensible offers indicative of the market rate and if they refuse to play ball then fine, whatever, walk away. If we'd just stumped up the 20M for Ashworth and 75M for Branthwaite then surprise surprise, nothing will have changed. Every club would just continue to rinse us for buying and selling.
Not any more.

Other clubs know they are now dealing with experienced football people and backed by a very successful businessman. before they were dealing with 6 clueless offspring that inherited a club and run by incompetent wankers.
