I was incredibly apprehensive of SJR buying a part of this club, but after only a month or two has had made me excited about it. Officially Welcome Sir Jim take us back to our rightful place on top of the world and cut the Cancerous Glazer cunts out!

Apparently Ashworth wants to nab the transfer guru from Brighton to be his second in command.
Is this…competence? It feels strange.

Reading that Ashworth has agreed terms and it could be done by next week. Talk about extensive garden leave but that it could be bought out with extra compensation…
Hopefully we will just pay what is necessary…

For once next summer looks like it could actually be something to be happy about, this whole thing is going to take a good few years to fully kick in and catch up to city though, but the signs of intent are there for all to see.

What are Ashworth's credentials though? Comes with a big rep, but he's not really pulled any transfer tricks at Newcastle and Brighton is lightyears from Manchester United...

Ashworth comes with a massive, proven history of work. Based on what I've been reading, he has ambitions on the pitch and he works tirelessly to make them a reality.
Snagging him and Berrada just goes to show that no matter how shit the atmosphere has been around this club - absolutely fucking nobody defines allure like we do. It's astonishing to me tbh, but we are still the "holy grail" of English football.

This is excellent. I still maintain he's not pulled any transfer trees up at Newcastle, Botman and Isak have been highly rated for a good while and Pope's the England number 2 who got relegated they season prior. The Brighton stuff is the stuff I was after. Thanks.

supposedly one reason why he is so open to leaving Newcastle is his limited involvement/control

Now you think he's done all this with teams that no real major talent or "next gen talent" is going to want to go, and he comes to United with all its lore and history....
