There’s been more open communication this afternoon than in the last twenty years.

He’s started so promisingly. He’s also openly referring to City and Liverpool as “the enemy” which you just have to love.
As an initial backer of the Qatari bid, I’m now fully on board the SJR bandwagon. You have to wonder if any other option would have moved so fast and so well.

He is rattling the cages of ambition. If these clubs and their supporters knows whats best for them they will take notice and be concerned. A determined and ambitious United is a dangerous United. Noone in England has the market we do, the lore than we do, and prestige than we do. City are bought pretenders and no one goes to the matches and Liverpool are losing the actual heart of the team in the coach. Salah will bounce and they are dead in the water.

His comment about it "We need to look at facts, judge fairly, and take into the consideration what the values of the club are" the last part was the big part of the whole thing. He also mentioned that they have to make a decision on 1 or 2 players which we all know the other one is the lazy cunt Sancho who got put in the RB's pocket yesterday against PSV

If he’s talking about the values of the club and taking into account what the fans want then Greenwood won’t be coming back. It’s literally not worth the chew.
We’re being strung out in the media for attempting to hire someone in an office role. There’s no way we’re ever going to weigh up Greenwood as an option with the heat that brings.
Nice in a way that he’s a topic of conversation again though, just so I can say fuck him one more time.

Am I the only person who thinks that Ratcliffe's interview was full of crass misjudgements?
Over the top playing to the gallery
Ridiculous comments about how they'll make a Greenwood decision - a massive hostage to fortune that he'll be reminded of every time a Utd player behaves unattractively, and that mean that, unless he wants it to be said that Ineos supports sexual violence, Greenwood can't be brought back anyway - so his decision to comment at all was totally pointless
Ambiguity about stadium renovate v. new build
Fundamentally contradictory: if their approach is 'best in class', why is he involving himself in decisions about footballers and setting timelines for becoming competitive?

Ratcliffe is saying the right things , but lets see what he does in the transfer window and on the stadium.

Reading this, I’m optimistic about the future success of the club for the first time since it became clear Moyes is a clown.

If anything, I thought he was pretty measured in what he said. It’s impossible to give an answer to the Greenwood question that won’t offend someone, and the rest of it was quite sensible: ambitious but well considered. The remarks about football operations made complete sense IMHO.

I know folk were pissed about the Sheikh but this just feels right to me. Making all the right noises. Think people were too quick to judge and cast Ratcliffe and INEOS to the side. I'm glad we've missed out on Qatar, never wanted them in the first place. We get to do this the right way. He's done more than the Glazers have in 18 years already so it's a good start. Won't be done over night but so far everything I've heard and read has been positive. Just hope now that these words are backed up with actions. Fingers crossed the good days are on the horizon again.

Yes, I think I overreacted. I still think the Greenwood comments were unwise, but the interview as a whole was measured.
