I mean the deal will happen, hopefully before the weekend, I'm more pissed of at what the club has been doing for years, the fact we can't shift any of our deadwood because of the huge wages that have previously been given out, a loan with obligation to buy is a good deal all around tbf and keeps us well under for the ffp/psr

Pellestri fee is mental, absolutely mental! Like I can't even begin to express how mad that is. Better be 50% sell on and buyback for the sale price.
Eriksen needs shifting as does hannibal. Club thought they had a deal for Lindelof but he us being a twat.

I like Pellestri, and he seems a good lad, but he's going to the football 3rd World with nary a sniff of a Spanish or Italian team in for him, let alone one of the big Turkish sides. €6mill is about right, IMO.

At a worst case scenario Pellestri has shown enough to warrant us getting our initial money back which i think was 9 million dollars

I get you can only sell if there's a willing buyer, but it pisses me off we sell him for 6m, and the likes of Skipp is going for 25m, City sell players with zero appearances for double or triple

Nobody has ever come in for Pellestri. That’s the problem. Six million seems cheap certainly comparative to the likes of Skipp, but you’ve got to have a willing buyer. Maybe there’s something in the background we don’t know about or maybe it’s just a case of, we need to sell and there’s not been another offer. A player’s value has always been whatever another club is willing to pay for them.

Maybe we wait too long to sell players. It is far easier to sell for a good price based on "potential". But when Pellistri has made around 100 appearances for club and country appearances and only managed a handful of goals and assists you pretty much know what you are getting.
I also think we need to probably try to arrange better loan moves. He was pretty underwhelming at Alaves and Granada but it is hard for attacking players at relegation fodder clubs to shine. And if you cannot impress at Alaves and Granada then it isn't a total surprise when the next stop is Panathanaikos. We also probably overrate him because he usually comes on to replace Antony who has lowered the bar so much that simply seeing someone with a burst of pace and a hint of an end product gets us off our seats.
Annoying to sell at a loss. But if he can earn a move to a bigger club then at least we will pocket another couple million.

Burnley after Hannibal, apparently they have 25 mil burning a hole in there pocket now so that should cover the deal.

I wont be surprised if there is some shady background deals going on.

City apparently getting gundogan back from Barca who are will to just let him leave the club, guarantee if we asked about him for argument sake they would want 20 mil, some off if not most of city's transfer dealings in and out seem odd as fuck that no other club would/could make.

Barca need him off the books so they can register Dani Olmo. Gundogan's on something crackers like €300k a week, so by shifting him off the books, they'll have the financial wriggle room to get Olmo registered. No doubt City will throw in some sort of goodwill gesture fee to smooth things along too.
