Good luck Scotty lad. I'm chuffed for him that he broke through from the academy. I'm always a fan of having lads from Scotland, Ireland (NI or Republic) and Wales in the team. In the past, some of these lads have formed the very backbone of our successes. And Napoli isn't too shabby a place I hear! Always thought Scott was a perfectly good squad player to keep.

Sacrifices have to be made as we are trying to fund a major rebuild under stringent FFP restrictions and Scotty is one of the few marketable players we have (and as a homegrown player all the money will be pure profit which will ease our FFP restrictions) and as we are keeping Casemiro at least another season and buying Ugarte shortly and persisting with Mount he will be further and further behind in the pecking order and his contract is running down and I don't think there is any desire to give him another 5 year contract so it is the right time to say our goodbyes.
Re Sancho I would rather just give them a cut price deal than burden our wage bill with injury prone players like Chilwell or players well past their prime like Sterling. Chelsea are one of the few clubs that can afford his crazy wages so if they pay £20-£30m I would just take the money and would also be OK with a loan + obligation to buy deal. £20-£30m cash and with 2 years left on his contract we'd save £30m on wages. So it is worth doing.
If we can shift Scotty and Sancho and Lindelof we can pay upfront for Ugarte and maybe even have a little leftover to buy a LB in January if it remains a problem position.

Good squad player, but fucking happy that hoofball option has been taken away from Erik.
Watch him use Harry instead

waiting to the end of the window to secure a position that has been top priority for the last 5 or so years is a bit strange.

Another player out. Owners are properly cleaning house this window Hope this has a buy back fee and sell on clause, he could still come good IMO. We seem to have been good at getting those in recently.

Man this ownership isn't playing games out here I have an odd feeling Ugarte won't be the only player to come in before the close of the Transfer window

If we bring in ugarte it's as close to A 10/10 window for me, some high level players brought in and finally starting to shift some of the shite too, hopefully that carrys on for the next couple of windows to finally sort out 20 years of mess.

Thinking on it I’m giving it a 8/10 now Needed more outgoings and incomings Hopefully Sancho leaves and would be good to get a another CF. Also a 2nd CM and eriksen leaves Lindelof to be replaced with a LB

I like Scotty. Always professional, hasn't disrespected the club or the fans once and clearly loves the club. Just dont feel he offers enough in midfield. Would have been a decent back up option up front though.
We absolutely should be getting rid of others before him. Just a shame that he's the only realistic option of getting funds to sign Ugarte.
The others are either on too high a wage or simply won't bring in enough. Hoping he smashes it in Italy though. That being said their time time here is limited, it's clear INEOS aren't fucking about.
