Liverpool interested in Chiesa. Might mean that we could get some money from Juventus for Sancho. Although can't imagine they can afford his wages. Might need to go the Joao Felix route and charge them a fat loan fee and bear some of his wages. Still better than rotting on the bench as I cannot imagine Erik selecting him much.

Might need to go the Joao Felix route and charge them a fat loan fee and bear some of his wages. Still better than rotting on the bench as I cannot imagine Erik selecting him much. This news article is from Goal, and has the BBC’s Stone reporting on the possible Sancho deal…. According to BBC's Simon Stone, United will only let Sancho leave if it is to be a permanent sale or as a loan with an obligation to buy. In short, they are not interested in a loan that leaves his future beyond this season unresolved or requiring further action. Sky Sports suggest that Juventus, linked in recent days, ideally want a straight loan, seemingly without an obligation to buy. But they are aware of potential rival interest from Chelsea.

a lot of noise about chelsea potentially using Sterling as Part ex for Sancho. Sterling would have to reduce his wages considerably.
hes not the best, but i wouldnt be against it. sterling on a 2-3 year contract would let us get rid of sancho and antony. he would essentially be rotation with Amad. can use the funds of antony next year to go back into the squad

A pretty reliable source (by all accounts) in Uruguay saying Ugarte is done and he’s due in Manchester today.
Finally.

Gotta say that INEOS have excelled this summer. Stuck to their guns and refused to overpay and were pragmatic about player sales doing what was required to balance the books and shift deadwood and inserting sell-on clauses that could benefit us in the future.
I'd be OK with a Sancho Sterling swap deal assuming they also stumped up about £20m cash. He's managed over 100 Premier League goals and provided over 60 Premier League assists and even at Chelsea who are a shambles is still managing a goal contribution every three games. Garnacho and Amad have huge potential but are still inconsistent and our strikers are being starved of quality service. And Sancho's wages and bad attitude make him very difficult to shift and even if Erik claims he has made up with Sancho I don't think he trusts him so he won't get much gametime. Whereas if we signed Sterling I am pretty confident that Rashford would get much fewer minutes. Obviously he is no spring chicken so wouldn't want more than a 3 year deal but he's an intelligent player and a model pro and his experience would complement the youth in our side. And no obvious injury concerns unlike Chilwell who I would avoid.

Sterling can stay where he fucking is. Don't want any over the hill ex dippers being part of this rebuild.
INEOS have had a fantastic first window. They've not fucked around in backing the manager or getting rid of players. Not to be too greedy but would be great if we could add a striker in this window aswell.
No excuses to not see shit improve now.

Sterling’s age and £350k a week wages suggest he’s not exactly INEOS’ profile.
This has been an excellent window from INEOS, surely surpassed most expectations. Nowhere to hide for ETH now, though I understand it’ll take a little while for everything to gel.

Didn’t realise it was a sale rather than a loan. Good news !

Smashing window in fairness. We might now be able to target one or two world class players next summer rather than wholesale changes like this one.
