Supposedly held talks with Toney about a cut-price deal... would not mind that at all. If it’s cut price then I would be in favour… He is different to anything we have… He gets us 20+ a season easy. The problem would be the deal itself. I don't see it being cheap, but if they can pull it off then great, been wanting us to go for him for long enough. I don't see it happening though. We need goals, we also need better service to the players to provide those goals.

Assuming the terms are reasonable Sterling and Toney in and Sancho out would probably put us in the title race. And they'd provide a good bridge over the next 3 years as players like Hojlund, Garnacho, Amad and Zirzkee continue to mature. And the way INEOS negotiate we should be able to get it done with a fairly minimal net spend.

He's gone from here. It's a start. Hopefully will be permanent by next summer. Such a disappointing transfer, expected far more from him.

Toney could be the difference in top 4 or not. We desperately need someone who can finish chances consistently.

More worrying news i am reading is that ETH don't really want Ugarte and it's a buy being pushed by Wilcox and co.
if there is any truth in it I am concerned, ETH is stubborn to a fault and if he is not onboard will just ruin things. I really hope it's garbage and he actually sees the complete sense and gift he is being given Personally i think ETH knows he's a dead man walking and the only excuse for another shit season after spending 600m is "these players where forced on me". I believe the source of that news is United Muppetiers...

In case you forgot, we finished 8th , scored 57 goals and finished with -1 goal difference last season. There is no way adding those 2 to puts us in title race, especially when Pep is still in city.
