Sounds like Zirkzee, Ugarte and DeLigt are all close.
Pretty damn good imo.

Outstanding transfer fees and wages would already be factored into our existing FFP budget which is rumoured to be little more than £50m.
Of course the catch is that while amortising transfer fees over a contract length of 4-5 years allows you to leverage £50m of pure profit into multiples of that in spending power it does constrain you in future windows.
So we probably wouldn't want to spend all the additional spending capacity. But I'd rather front-load our spending so we can get back into top 4 and get the lucrative Champions League revenues. Also the COVID impact on transfer budgets should roll off in future years. We should have Ashworth joining us shortly so we can get up to full speed and not many players have moved yet this summer with the Euros and Copa America. So plenty of potential targets in play.
But it would be sad if financial constraints prevented us from doing meaningful business in the first summer in which we have a decent recruitment team and sensible and engaged owners. So we really do need to do whatever it takes to make sure we have a proper war-chest of at least £200m to rebuild this summer.

De Ligt is still a very good CB, young and cheaper than Brantwaithe so fine but of business imo. However, does anything illustrate just how ridiculous English clubs evaluations are when Brantwaithe’s fee was more than 20 million more than De Ligt? Crazy shit. If we shift some players then get say Kerkez, we’re close to an 8.5 out of 10.

Standard window we get the 3rd / 4th choice player. Agree that additions such as Kerkez would make a huge impact to the overall window

I think he’ll have a huge impact on the team. No more giving up 25 golden chances a game.

With De Ligt its his injury record iam bit concerned about , Juventus and Bayern dont usually move a highly rated young player in their prime for no reason.
He will be coming to an even more intense league and then there is our medical team.

A deal has been struck for Ashworth by the sound of the reporting everywhere. He's due to be announced soon.
This all sounds really good to be fair. Berrada, Ashworth and Wilcox along with some continuity into season 3 for the first time with the coach and additions like RVN. This is way more than I would have hoped for a year or 2 ago, when it was just slapstick management of the football club. We all know this is where the real problem has been for a decade.

Getting the Front Office situated is the most important part of this summer in my eyes. Just spinning our tires in the mud without it so glad to see Chemical Jim and the boys are getting it sorted

A really bad transfer window and poor planning, an absolute shit show with injuries and a really poor atmosphere and uncertainty around every aspect of management, including owners, CEO, coach the lot. It couldn't have been much worse, but it's been sorted very well and quickly! That's a really good sign at least!

42 million for de light, 40-50 for ugarte, for once it actually seems like we are doing proper deals( If they go through) rather then panicking and then over paying.

I will always welcome Uruguayans and Argentinian additions to the squad. They just have that mentality.

A very nice thing about De Ligt is like Martinez he's very comfortable playing from the back. That could help to improve our playing style next year under Erik and we can see more of the value-add from Onana. And he can replace some of the experience we have lost with Varane's departure. Hopefully we can offload Lindelof later in the window and bring in Todibo if we win the arbitration case. We could then feel very good about our centre back options.
Ugarte and Zirzkee look like fantastic value. And then with those three signings in place we can focus our efforts on player sales to try and raise enough to buy a left back as I think the absence of Shaw was a factor in Rashford's poor form last season.

We should be doing a loan deal with an option if we are in for de Ligt. He literally can't get in any team, International or Club currently under several managers and is regularly injured.
50M Euro plus bonus payments and 250kPW. Just get a loan deal done and make it permanent if he works out. We can still get the Todibo deal done and we need a very good LB
