Having seen the way some Lazio fans act, I imagine they'd wear his allegations as a badge of pride. Good riddance.

Good to know we have options, was concerned when the Marseille Mayor came out.
Just hope the right option is taken for Greenwood and his young family. Whole life ahead of him and hoping that he has learnt some serious lessons, makes good as a father and partner and succeeds in his career. Great potential and great shame.

I'm a huge fan of Martin Zubimendi and wish we would just go for this guy. I know he seems to be a home boy and probably wants to stay in Spain, but he is a fantastic player. They are all talking about Rodri, player of the tournament and Ballon d'or etc, but this guy came on and I thought they were better in some ways in the second half. He made one mistake, but his overall play was much more fluid and he made some fantastic tackles. If Rodri wasn't in there he would be a starter in that team.
It would take a lot of coaxing, but he would be so good for us. We have to improve that midfield with much better technical players and probably need 3/4 mids over the next two windows! If it is at all possible we should start there!!

60m euro release clause so a good option if PSG aren't willing to sell Ugarte for a reasonable price.
And Mount and Casemiro are hardly making their case in the Rosenborg game currently playing to suggest we don't desperately need to sign a midfielder this summer.

Scouse in for Guehi (according to Romano) which I don't like, he's the sort of player I can see doing well for them. Interested to see what valuation Palace put on him considering Branthwaite's silly fee.

Zirkzee supposedly will be earning £56k a week. If that is correct, I need to shake the hand of the negotiator.

It is smart business. Even the new recruitment team isn't going to get every transfer right. Sometimes players don't adapt to the Premier League. Sometimes players are unable to make the step up to a bigger club. Sometimes injuries intervene which make a career in a very physical league difficult. Sometimes players peak very early and reach a much lower ceiling than scouts anticipate.
But if you don't overpay for them and put them on modest wages then if it doesn't work out then it is a lot easier to sell to a smaller club.
And it is a refreshing change from our old habit of overpaying for players and putting them on big club wages before they achieved anything and then wondering why we are unable to sell them.
Also a good way to avoid mercenaries because players shouldn't need to have their wages doubled or tripled to join us.

It's meant to be around £90k/w, which still seems quite reasonable in today's market, especially when that little weasel Antony is on £200k/w. We need him fucking off ASAP but no club will pay anywhere close to that and even if he were to go, we'd be left paying a high % of his wage.

Guehi would be a good option if we didnt sign Yoro with Branthwaite being out of the price range. I don't think there would be much difference between Guehi and Branthwaite.

This Yoro decision is already taking too long for my liking.... Either you want to come here, or you want to go to Madrid. We don't need to sign a player that will just leave us or force his way out to go to Madrid eventually. He is a talent, but he obviously has his eyes on Madrid, we should steer clear.

Honestly if he really wants Madrid then that’s fine as they are a great club but if that’s the case I don’t want him here… We’ll always be waiting for him to leave…
