For me it's not even the calibre of player we're bringing in that I'm more excited and impressed about. It's the speed in which it's been done.
INEOS and Jim have come in and made an instant statement of intent with not only the signing but the replacements up top, the faith in giving Ten Hag the chance to turn it around and by improving the coaching staff. Honestly didn't expect so many changes in such a short space of time.
Must admit after last season I didn't expect to be this optimistic about this season. But with the optimism there has to be some realism aswell. We need to also see improvement from Ten Hag aswell. Tactics, style of football. These things need to start showing this season. If they do then it could be a huge season for us.

Tottenham reportedly interested in Scotty. Looks like a match made in heaven. They'll have no problem matching his wages and will probably able to bid higher than Fulham or West Ham. And you'd imagine Scotty would fancy the move as well as he might consider a midtable club too much of a step down. We reportedly want £40m. That seems fair enough especially as he's reinvented himself as a goalscoring midfielder. And it would help fund the Ugarte deal and leave enough left over for De Ligt or a full back.

If McTominay goes, coupled with Amrabat not staying, then we'd prob need 2 midfielders. Donny gone too, not that he was gonna play anyway. Rabiot for free could be a smart move; Rabiot and Ugarte in with Donny, Amrabat and McTominay out is a clear upgrade, for very little spend.

Reports saying that Berrada was the one who drove the Yoro deal refusing to give up when his agent said he wanted Real Madrid and making it a personal project to endear himself to the fans.
I reckon Berrada could be the main man behind these spectacular improvements in the way we are doing business. Ashworth was competent at Newcastle but no more than that. But Berrada coming from City knows all the tricks and he’s sharing them with us and you can see that from the way we are structuring deals and he comes with incredible contacts across European football.

Reports saying PSG want £59m for Ugarte and not prepared to go lower. It’s a reasonable price but we probably need to raise funds quickly or else PSG might offer to him someone else as they want the money to sign Neves who apparently they will be able to get for a similar amount rather than the £100m release clause

Bet that Branthwaite offer looks a lot more tempting now, pricks I say we go back and have another go for Branthwaite. £20m plus Lindelof seems fair to me.
