Anyone else still fucking fuming this morning or is it just me? After the game, I didn't move from the sofa for 2 hours. Didn't even have the TV on. A disgusting club in every way. Overpaid players who kick a ball around a field (badly) shouldn't effect mental health this way. Wasters. Massively fuming, too many people at the club don’t care and it’s not just players! Also Antony needs to leave this summer, the guy just is pathetic, behaviour like that sums it up. You were bought for over £80 million (clearly not your fault), you have been absolute tripe, and are bet to suited to 2 divisions below the premier league. You have other issues ongoing too, surely you comport yourself better. You have enough sense to read the room!!!!! Instead you do something daft.

Something frustrating is people in the media bemoaning VAR purely because it robbed them of a reason to take the piss out of United.
End of the day, it was offside. Majority of people, me included, don’t like VAR. But that’s the rules at the minute isn’t it. You can’t go “allow it for the fairytale”. That would be actual cheating.

Remember last week when people wanted Bournemouth to have a penalty for a foul that wasn't in the box?

Looking forward to the Cup Final. I love the FA cup and a game like that is what makes it special. I said after the 1/4 final that I'm not going to get overly bothered about this season and just enjoy the drama. Too many injuries, too many past it players and some overpaid deluded mediocrity with attitude.
We could lose that cup final 5-0 or win it 4-3 in high drama. The re-build has started at the top already and that was always the toughest initial change. It's going to take 2-3 years to get back to the levels of a decade ago finally, but it has started with major changes already.
That current squad will never compete at the highest level. There are about 10 players that need to be shipped out and replaced and there is no room for sentiment, even for ex academy players.

The fact that Coventry are in a position where they can use VAR as an excuse for losing the game is an embarrassment.
If we were a proper team then once we were 3-0 up at the hour mark we would have shut up shop and the best they could have hoped for was a late consolation goal.
I am pissed off that we got into the final because it allows Erik to bang on about reaching 2 consecutive finals and he has a readymade excuse when we lose to City that City are the better team and we all know he will park the bus so we only lose by a respectable margin.
But we got into the final fair and square and the humiliation is the manner of our victory throwing away a 3-0 lead, being the worse team for the last hour of the game and needing a penalty shootout to win against a team 8th in the Championship with a squad that took £20-£30m to assemble.

whilst i agree with keane that the majority of the blame should be on the players, ETH also massively fucked up. he is absolutely right in taking off some of his best players when leading by 3 goals. you should expect your team to hold on with ease against a championship side. but i always struggle to see what we do tactically...it looks like a bunch of headless chickens running around in panic mode. and that is clearly also on the manager. i dont see him turning this shitshow around.
i also feel very disconnected. at times it feels to me like watching united games as a neutral. not overly celebrating a win and what happened yesterday was more an "ah right...not surprised whats happening, anyway...what should i eat tonight?"
also antony...get fucking rid of him. disgraceful behaviour and shit player

Rashford is diabolical as a creative winger unless he has space to run into and there is no left full back to help him create space. In midfield there is no legs or athleticism and most of them can't find a pass or create space out of a press. Mainoo can do that, but he is 18 and not developed physically enough yet. McTominay always struggles to beat a player in tight spaces and nearly always passes back. It's so frustrating watching him, but he will also pop up to score and make runs like a striker, because that's really his strength and we don't have a striker experienced enough. There were times yesterday when a pinged pass to the right winger standing on his own was the obvious ball, but nobody could do that. (Erikksen came on and did it finally, but he is useless at covering space and Casemiro is past it at this level too. Maguire was playing like a box to box mid at one point trying to create something. Dalot, Varane from a few years ago plus Martinez and a fit Shaw at the back would be great, but it's not possible. Casemiro and Errikksen from a few years ago with Mainoo 2 years from now and we would be challenging. It's all players not available or who can't stay fit for more than a few games or who have lost their legs or aren't experienced enough yet. That's really where all the chaos comes from

Gullit gave an interview back in ETH's Ajax days criticizing his tactics saying they left the team vulnerable in transition. Obviously the Ajax team was a lot better than our current team so they got away with it as we also did to some extent last year. But this year we are getting exposed and whenever we lose the ball in transition we are left so open that teams can just go straight through our midfield and it is no wonder they enjoy so many chances and shots on goal.

What sort of mental fragility (or not sure the words) do the players have to have collapsed the way they did. They are meant to be elite professionals, irrespective of the subs they should have comfortably seen the game out.

They are meant to be elite professionals, irrespective of the subs they should have comfortably seen the game out. The first goal was totally avoidable, he was completely unmarked. That's just a clear cut example of somebody waiting for someone else to do their job for them. If someone does the right thing there, we don't concede and likely see it out. Those small details kill you at any level. Their 2nd goal was very similar.

I totally missed the game.
Our baby boy had surgery last Wednesday, so we've been living in Paediatric ICU since then.
Watched the extended highlights and it felt like the twilight zone whilst simultaneously reading the comments in the thread.
Up to 60min it looked like we were cruising, could have been 5/6 up - then it happened (again).
Dire straits at the back (looks like Eriksen and Casemiro were back there at one point), not sure how we'll avoid anything other than another tonking in the final.
