I totally missed the game. Our baby boy had surgery last Wednesday, so we've been living in Paediatric ICU since then. Watched the extended highlights and it felt like the twilight zone whilst simultaneously reading the comments in the thread. Up to 60min it looked like we were cruising, could have been 5/6 up - then it happened (again). Dire straits at the back (looks like Eriksen and Casemiro were back there at one point), not sure how we'll avoid anything other than another tonking in the final. Dude, hope your family is doing ok. One could argue reaching a final with this team is an achievement but we were a VAR decision away from going out after being 3-0 up against a midtable championship club. He's totally missed or has convinced himself we just beat Liverpool again in the cup. There's no way the last hour of that game was acceptable. |

Erik simply doesn't get the club just like his protégé Antony.
Erik loves to talk about standards. But he's lowered them this season. While it is true that it is a results business, it is also a spectator sport and every week he serves up dreadful unprofessional performances that millions of fans have to suffer through. And if that isn't bad enough he gives self-serving tone deaf press conferences trying to justify himself.
He's the most unlikeable manager we've had since Moyes. The sooner we get rid of him the better.

Thanks so much for all the words of support, lads! Oliver is recovering well, and the surgery went better than they expected - they were able to get more metastasis out than anticipated, and it looks like the tumor and bits that were left behind (around major arteries incl aorta) were mostly dead tissue when biopsied. They had to totally remove his one adrenal gland, and his intestines were temporarily removed to do the work, so the recovery is slow and they are taking their time to ensure he recovers fully. Still two more rounds of chemo, then a stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and finally immunotherapy, but this was a big milestone in his treatment journey. After 5 rounds of chemo (prior to this surgery), the 8x7cm tumor had shrunk to 1x2cm, and the cancer that had spread to various bones had been totally cleared. Baby steps  |
