Lol...he claimed they've signed him, Boulharouz, Emerson, Zambrotta and Argentina prodigy Gago...
I bet none of them will sign for Real Madrid even if he wins the election...

From La Marca
Villar Mir has announced that if elected he will appoint Jorge Boada (aka Red Yank) as manager of Real Madrid if elected. Mir has stated that he has been impressed with Boada's results as manager in the Metro Fantasy League and is confident he will take Madrid to new heights. Boada will have top quality players at his disposal as Mir has assured he already has obtained the services of C.Ronaldo, Emerson, Boulharouz, Van Nistelrooy, Adriano, A. Cole, and Crespo. The undisclosed price tag for these acquisitions have speculators questioning Madrid's ability to be profitable for the next 20 years, but some of the cost will be recuperated by massive sales of Madrid shirts, Ashley Cole ash trays, Beckham hair gel and Crespo bandanas.

As much as i've come not to believe all this stuff about Ronaldo tomorow's edition of Marca supposedly has a picture of Ronaldo's agent meeting with the presidential candidate. Although this doesn't mean anything, could easily be photoshoped although the paper could be open to legal action should they publish fake pictures.. can;t wait until this election is over

If he goes he goes, and if he does, then we've just wasted two season trying to break him in as anything more than a promising kid. If he stays, great. But I won't shed any tears if he leaves. We're not going to know until any deal's official, so who cares at the moment!

"Rant" is not at all happy and seem quite convinced it's true. But what surprises me is the uniformity of the virtual dislike for Ronny from these replies. Admittedly there is a lot more sense written here than most forums but it's virtually unanimous - If you don't like it - sod off. What worries me is that if he really wants to go, imagine how hard he's gonna try against England on Saturday!!!!!

I don't dislike Ronaldo, but I think what makes this a bit unpleasant is that when added to the signing situation where all we hear is how United's chances for this player and that player are slim to non existant it feels like United isn't in a strong position to attract players. I've stated many times that I don't want players wearing our shirt if they don't want to play at OT.

Someone's not bringing us happiness anymore. The rant article was harsh. I don't give much credence to the latest allegations, but i don't think Ronnie will stay long.

Ronaldo should not be allowed to leave, although it's not true anyways. Manchester United makes a big story!...do you hear anything about the candidates promising Robben, Kaka, Adriano or Fabregas?...no, because they don't play for United!

i like ronaldo but he is not a right winger imo. i think he is more of a attacking midfielder or something like that. i think if he goes to madrid it should be 15 million plus beckham someone who can cross the ball into dangerous positions.

As far as I'm concerned I'd be very happy to se the back of Ronaldo - he is a disgrace. I think he purposely wanted to get Rooney sent off because it will make his move to Real Madrid all the more easier. As a Man United fan, even I hate him.
