This is the last thing we need right now. We need players coming in not going out. People are expecting too much, too soon from a 21 year old. However, this probably won't be the end of the matter, I expect United to convince him to stay, than sell him to our CL rivals.

while some of portugals tactics where questionable at the world cup and ronaldo undoubtably involved himself in some of these actions this is hardly new with ronaldo, he's been pulled up on his diving on numerous occasions before but i believe was starting to improve his attitude while at united, so i dont see how this world cup has suddenly changed some peoples mind about him, and i also believe it has something to do with the environment he's been in as such gamesmanship is obviously common in portugals football and as the saying goes "when in rome...". im not excusing such actions but its inevitbale that when surrounded by such attitudes its going to affect you as it has at united but in a positive way, at the end of the day this guy is an amazing footballing talent that we should be trying to keep hold of not kicking him out of the door

if we end up selling him to madrid we should only do so if we get a bloody fortune for him and on the condition that madrid dont try and sign kaka if milan get relegated then we should use the profits from mikel and ronnie to get kaka, that would soften the blow for me

You never know though, Ronaldo made these comments after another lacklustre display from Portugal, he might be upset at this or not performing as well as he'd liked to at the tournament. He did say he'll decide in 2 or 3 days time, he may still decide to stay, or is it just wishful thinking?

He did say he'll decide in 2 or 3 days time, he may still decide to stay, or is it just wishful thinking? Im pretty sure hell stay, hell get back to OT for pre season training and it will be cleared up with Rooney and co and I think they will all sort it out with eachother and he will stay, why the hell anyone wants to go to Madrid I have no idea, their a circus and at times play dreadful football (I have Real Madrid tv and they constantly show matches from the season just finished etc) and against poor teams, Madrid looked a Championship team at best, class players had poor touches, their passing was poor, they arent what they used to be. If madrid want Ronny AND he says he wants to go, Fergie will have major bargaining power, one of the best players in the world, 21 years old, regular for his country, 4 years on his contract left.... As long as we dont have our pants pulled down and pissed on (Beckhams transfer deal was atrotious) we can command substantial cash and a player to cushion the deal, if Madrid dont like it, they can fuck off and well keep Ronaldo, then 2 years down the line, he will be evenbetter, all the crap will have cleared and he will be idolised, united will be back in the driving seat with praise going to him, he then signs a 2 year extension and Madrid flounder around, signing him, her and that, swapping manager every 3 months, and Chavski are in the championship after their pimp got bored and fooked of to have fun with some socceroos team ( The weathers better down under) OK OK wishful thinking.....but if only half of that happens, great =D But seriously, other supporters are saying we will get 15 mill for Ronny, HA, Fergie doesnt have to sell, so he will command ridiculous fees and we know Real can be stupid enough to pay it, we dont want to sell so we will let it go higher an higher and if we dont like, it isnt a problem for us, 15 mill? 25 mill + Baptista take it or leave it you Spanish planks

Wow...what a surprise! Ronaldo wants to leave Man Utd...well I never! I've spoken about this before....Ronaldo wanted to leave Utd ANYWAY...that's why he got Rooney sent off....I say good riddance....I'm amazed at how many apologists there are for this cheatin twat...he's hoodwinked you all........why not get behind another Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney - have you forgotten about him .......in his first world cup after coming back from injury .....with all the hullaballoo that caused? Get rid of the cheatin twat that is Ronaldo.....but make sure we get a good price for him. As sure as night follows day, Rooney is the future. Some posters have come on here saying they're gutted at Ronaldo going........I say balls to Ronaldo........

I think the moment he mentioned that he would decide his future after the WC, the proverbial writing was on the wall. He claims that the circumstances aren't right in Manchester and that nobody stood up for him but I wonder how much of this is just to disguise the fact that he wants to leave. What is a concern is that this comes at a time when we're looking to bolster the existing midfield, not replacing the talented players we already have. With Ruud in doubt as well then we have a larger gap to fill and can we make the signings that will effectively replace them. I don't want Ronaldo to go because it would put us in a bad situation, but I wouldn't want to keep an unhappy player either and I don't think there's anything that can be done to keep him at OT...he's mentioned wanting to play in Spain and that's where he'll probably end up.

The really annoying thing about this is that Fergie pretty much backed Ronaldo over Ruud in that row in training. And this is how he's been paid back. Shocking. "Nobody at Manchester sttod up for me" What is this guy 11? Fucking hell. I had a go at someone on this board for suggesting he was angling for a move. Apologies mate. It appears you were right as thats the lamest excuse i've ever heard.
