You don't play 4-5-1 at Old Trafford in Europe, it's just not the way United play  What a bull line-up. Where is Giggs? Where is Park? Where is Heinze? The bench is stronger than half the bloody first team, and we have just 3 subs, big risk from Sir Alex, will NOT be happy if we play 4-5-1 at home. Aparently Giggs is rested because we have a match on saturday... oh dear. I really don't get this lineup, Why is O'shea playing when Park should have been in there. And when are they going to realise 4-5-1 is fucking useless. Anyone confirm the bench for me? |

Not the best perfromance, but enough. Lille didn't do anything decent really. Got past our defence a couple of times, but nothing important. They had more long range shots off target than Frank Lampard!
We do need to improve in the next round and I hope we get PSV. I do feel they are the weakest team in the competition. A massive chance for us this year though. So many good teams gone.

We're through, that's all that matters.
We need to step it up though, too many poor matches in a row. We might still have been winning, but at one point our luck will run out, and that really is a concern. So is our growing list of injuries.

Scrapy match...can't say I was particularly moved by the game play and the defending was pretty scary as well but we got the result. Brilliant cross by Ronnie and very nice header by Larsson.

what happened, that wasnt united?:S the fans were awesome but united didnt play good at all, we are through but still, we have to play better in the cl if we are going make real progress, i think when united get tuffer opponents united will play much better?, i think fergie just wanted counter attacks but lille never pushed up so nothing special happened, and great to see larsson score a goal when he plays for united at OT for the last time, or maybe not now when saha is out for a month! but SMITH IS BACK! AWESOME! and ronaldo dive:( not good, he is such a great player but diving is not a part of football but players like him can do what ever they want when ever they want and he made a superb assist to henrik...i just want to thank everyone who where at the game, great to hear old trafford this loud, the opening 15 min the crowd was awesome, and the goal of course. cant wait to the boro game its getting closer its getting closer!
