Not a great performance but we proceeded into the next round, and we managed to rest Giggsy! Anyone know when the draw for the next round is?

Is the draw on Friday? I'd take anyone but Chelsea or Liverpool. Yeah I think it is on Friday I'm not too fussed who we get, because it will all depend on how we and the oposition play on the day. We need to get a grip ahead of that though, and our upcoming league and fa cup matches. We cannot afford to continue playing like we have lately. |

Another pretty average performance from our boys. We need to step it up a gear. I dont like to us grinding out results, and I want us to finish the season the way we started it.
Another penalty we werent given. To book Ronaldo for getting fouled in the area is beyond belief. But then, this is the ref that yellow carded a black player when it was a white player who took the man out lol.
Really chuffed for Larsson. The last CL goal a great player scored was for Manchester United. Brilliant ;D

I got the feeling that, judging by the possession stats and the BBC match report, overall we played better than Lille and we were maybe slightly better than the previous few games?

The defending was rather suspect too....very disjointed play all around. Lille weren't impressive either.... |

I am not saying that he made our defense worse, what i mean is that he hasnt really played for a full 90 with Rio, Vida, and Nev this season (or at least not lately). Hope he gets better! |

Thought we were dog shit again tonight, we're just lucky we have individuals able to create and take the solitary chance we had but overall I was really disappointed with the performance and I can see us going out of the FA cup at weekend with the way we're playing. Glad Larsson scored on his OT farewell but we're really missing the speed and power of Saha up front that had us playing that superb football early in the season and it's going to interesting to see who steps up now we've lost 3 forwards in a week, at least we're through.

We were riding our luck at times but saw it through in the end. The draw is on Friday @ 10.30 and i'm praying we don't get the dippers or the chavs.
