I just wonder how much longer we can play so badly, and still win? a win is a win but my aged nerves are strung out like a sodding guitar. I can definitely verify that all this tension is not fair on mumbleys10. It's bad for us all but when the constant threat of catheterisation hangs around like the sword of Damacles it's even worse

this game was played bad but still a win as we have seen the last 2 games, i think against fulham we played quite so ok, but against reading no complaints many other players who didnt get chance got a chance against reading and they did great, but against liverpool it didnt work out so well, but that should just shouldnt be arising a question of bad performance:), but this game was awful the decision to play 4-5-1 was stupid it works defensibly but doesnt provide the entertaining football, and choosing to play rooney on the left not good, he works hard, but park going in instead of oshea and letting him rooney be up front with larsson would be better and united then should played much better. but i think it will be kicking soon, against boro i think united will play their beutiful devastating game. and hopefully win 1-3 or 0-3,0-2. i suppose fergie is wary of being complacent and things will change.

I got really excited for this when I was running up the stairs to Tier 2 of the East and the Champions League music began, but then the game didn't live up to the excitement. Still it was a professional performance, we're through and King Henrik scored a goal in his last United appearance at Old Trafford..he's a credit to himself and his family and I wish him good luck with Helsingborgs. Sad to see him go, I though Ronaldo dived when I saw it first from the stands but just got home and although it looks a dramatical fall he was kicked and it should have been a penalty. Sheasy seems to have grown fromt he Liverpool game, was excellent tonight. We're through, GET IN! Injury list keeps growing though; Saha, Fletcher, Silvestre, Solskjaer and Evra Added to Scholes' suspension and Larsson leaving..

i hope chelsea and ac milan draw each other. i hope we get valencia, roma or psv...gunning for valencia(if they dont get thrown out that is) cos i would like to see them at OT...i really like watching their wingers and forwards.
by the way, what happens if valencia gets thrown out of the CL...there'll be an odd number of teams...do their opponents get an easy bye into the semis?

My word, I pray to God we don't get Milan.
BTW, Smudge had a good individual effort on goal late on .. hope that boosts his confidence; we really need him for the next few weeks.

Smith showed his old "predatory instincts" in the box again, great to see.

a professional performance... we did enough to guarantee the result... hopefully we get through the next round more convincingly.... btw after having avenged our pains of benfica and lille from last season... anyone else think it's think for Milan in the next round ... ?

Vida was much more like his self last night. He hasn't been at his best in the last 2 league games but was great last night. And Smudger looked sharp when he came on. Looks like he'll get plenty of gametime over the next month.

Something about Smith yesterday night really got to me. He looked so fresh and raring to go. I predict that he is going to help us out enormously in the absence of Louis Saha. I'm backing Smith to fire United to the title. Did anyone see his passing yesterday night?
One other thing i would like to point out. Mr Rooney is getting on my nerves and if iknew he was going to feed us with that crap yesterday night then i would have chosen Ji Sung Park. I'm only saying this because i assume every thinks the same. Rooney was poor yesterday and it really is a shame.

I know he missed a header when he should have scored but I thought Makoun was really impressive again last night. He's played well 4 times against us now and looks nothing like Djembax2.

I agree about Makoun, he broke up play really well last night. Reminds me a bit of Sean Claude Makelele @chelski. He should be far cheaper than Hargreaves. Worth a punt I reckon.
