Wouldn't mind seeing him get a try. Larsson is bound to be playing though, we going to bring two strikers on the bench? Smith won't be dropped after Lille, and Rooney is never dropped anyhow... he might be benched and rested for this though. Larsson and Smith to start maybe?

God it's not going to be easy. no scholes, so thats a blow. i think we'll definitely see larsson one last time, it'll probably be a pretty strong squad so that we dont have to deal with a replay later. if we buck up and play better than we have been, we should be all right, but that's what i've been saying for the past 4 matches where we've been playing like crap, so we'll wait and see.

Anyone else want to see Rooney in Scholes position?
I think he has good attributes to be a strong attacking midfielder for the future. And maybe he doesn't score enough to be a striker....
G.Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze

I think Smith needs to play, preferably start as well. Wouldn't suprise me if Larsson started alongside him, with Ole and Saha out we might as well use him as much as we can whilst we still can.
To see Dong on the bench at least would be fantastic, although i'm not convinced this is the right game for him to come in, he is a complete unknown quantity to English football, only United know what he's capable of and he wouldn't be in the United squad if he couldn't cause them problems.
Boro are never easy, but under Southgate they aren't as professional as they were 2-1 United

G.Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze Yeah i agree totally i reckon Rooney could be great from that position, i think him seeing plenty of the ball would be a good thing and there isnt many players that can spray teh ball around like him. If he doesnt play there i'd like to see Carrick get a few games in there because its his best position and im a big fan of his.

Rossi for Scholes' position, imo.
Rooney as second striker, in that position between midfield and defence we love to see him in.

I'd be happy to see the likes of Smith, Dong and any others who have not been regulars playing against Boro; the FA cup is the least of our concerns. For me the game should be used principally to give Smith 90 mins and try to get the team performing again. Honestly don’t really care if we lose and go out.

The incentive of winning the first final at the new Wembley ( if it's actually ready in time ) is a big incentive, big history we can't allow others to grab!

But if we're in the final, we have to win it..lol.
Bring in Smith for a start, Park hasn't started for a while and also Brown. Vidic has been too shakey recently, needs a rest and a kick up the arse.

Kicking Vidic up the arse? Not unless he was heavily restrained.
