Totti wants Lyon heart Roma captain Francesco Totti has called for a Lyon repeat when the Italian side come up against Manchester United in the Champions League. The capital city club was paired with the Premiership outfit in today’s quarter-final draw and the World Cup winner is looking forward to his first Old Trafford visit. “It’s a hard draw. Manchester United are one of the teams who can win the Champions League,” said Totti to the club’s website. “However, it won’t be easy for them either, it’s a very stimulating tie. Let’s hope we can show the same determination we put in the two legs with Lyon. “It will be my first time at Old Trafford and I’m looking forward to the game.” Totti is also aware that the tie will see his side come up against some of Europe’s top players. “Cristiano Ronaldo is an excellent midfielder,” he added. “Ryan Giggs has experience and Wayne Rooney knows how to do everything. “They are a strong club that rarely fails in this competition, but we believe we can do well,” added Er Pupone. “I will not be available for the first leg through suspension and I am disappointed about that. Playing against Manchester United will be difficult, but anything can happen in football,” he said.“We are lucky to have the opportunity to play such an exciting match,” added the Chilean playmaker. “The Manchester representatives smiled when we were drawn against them? Let’s focus on playing, Lyon were also favoured against us and we know what happened...” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i wonder if everyone's forgot this ,if roma play totti, they'll get kicked out for playing an ineligible player.

it is so freaking hilarious that such a world class player like totti talking trash about sir alex did not state that he regards mancini and de rossi as world class players...
and it is even freaks me more that the Roma fans suggested that if sir alex nvr mention totti as a fabulous player than he doesnt know football.. Good lord, he's been in the gaffer's seat for 20 years and u say he doesnt know football??
everybody knows that this is all mind games. by stating that, sir alex expects totti to work his ass off in that match, running like a headless chicken and tiring him out... since roma play a 4-5-1 formation, expect roma to attack from the wings.
i expect a 2-0 win here.... no doubt united are playing one of the best football i've seen since 1999... and we can win the treble...
scorers: scholes and carrick.

I hope Oshea is on the Right and Heinze on the left! Ah it must be. I rekon we could struggle, our game suits the Italians and without Neville and Vidic I think we'll do well to come back with a 1:1 draw considering our form in Europe!

Some stupid comments there lads, "Scholes wanted to get sent off"..don't be so stupid. He can't tackle, we've known that for a while. Get over it.
As for the game, I think with 11 men we win here but with 10 men we fought massively and got an away goal. 2 - 1 down and I'm quietly confident we can do the job at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo and Rooney were excellent when it mattered tonight, considering he hadn't scored in a while in the CL I was half expecting the keeper to save it knowing Waz's luck but no he kept his head and scored the goal which puts us in a fantastic position.
The Italian police can join the fuckin' French ones in my opinion that they are complete and utter fuckin' wankers.
Well done lads and the tactics used by Fergie when we went down to ten men were fantastic.
