VDS O'Shea-Ferdinand-Brown-Heinze
Ronaldo-Carrick-Scholes-Park-Giggs
Rooney
Unfortunately, a 4-5-1, i think.
United win a slim 1-0 game (goal by: Scholes)

I'm really excited for this one, Roma play some great football at times, only United play much better football.
I think we'll progress, it won't be easy, I say 1-1 this leg with Rooney the scorer and Perrotta for them (it'd have to be!).

They are a class team, no doubt. Ronaldo will be faster than Chivu so im hopeful there, he and Park can swap around as they do too. Taddei is a fecking talented player, great delivery and very skillful. Mancini is a danger down the wing, but i think Heinxe can cope w/ him. De Rossi is a good player, decent tackler but I think Scholes will still make his late runs and he is just so clever and good at timing w/ him going forward and Rooney or Giggs dropping off i think we can cause De Rossi some trouble. I expect they will play their 4-5-1/4-4-1-1 formation, so Rio shall get a lot of the ball, yay!
When you have Perrotta on the bench you knows it a good squad. They are a truly talented team, im counting on our form and team spirit to get us through this. There is potential for some very entertaining ties here.
I've liked it how Giggs and Rooney have played as a front 2 recently, w/ each taking turns to drop deep and pick up the ball. It's working well and it means Rooney is not playing as a lone man up front. Carrick too will need to be at his best, he is a very smart and aware player and hence is one of the best intercepters in the league. Very good at reading the game and he'll need to be concentrating against the mids of Roma coming from deep to support Totti.
Alec, note this: NO F*&CKING 4-5-1.
Feck i can't wait for this match, damn this time standing in our way.

Unless Fergie is playing games with Saha's fitness in the media, i'm quite sure we'll be 4-5-1, get them back at OT and go 4-4-2
Louis Saha is ready to hand Manchester United a huge boost by making his return to action this week.
The Frenchman will be available for United's UEFA Champions League trip to Italy after overcoming his hamstring injury.
Saha has not played for a nearly a month, but he is now fully fit - although lacking in match fitness - and he insists he cannot wait to play again.
"I don't think I could be any fresher," he told The Mirror.
"I've missed quite a few games this year and I've so much pent-up energy that I want to get out of my system.
"I feel like I've got something to prove again. I'm raring to go. I'm confident and I want to be back playing and scoring goals.
"We're in a great position and if you look at what we have done in the past six months, it's amazing. Everyone is playing with confidence, we defend well and have been good going forward.
"But we can't say it is a job well done until we win the Premiership. If we don't, then the hard work is wasted. It will feel like six months for nothing. We have to get the trophy and finish the job."
Despite the fact Saha is available, Sir Alex Ferguson looks set to leave the former Fulham man behind when United travel to the Italian capital.
Instead of playing at the Stadio Olimpico, Saha instead looks set to play in a reserve team encounter at Blackburn on Thursday.
Should Saha turn out for United's second string, then he is likely to line-up alongside Darren Fletcher.
The Scottish international has made a quick recovery from the ankle injury he picked up in February.

We should at least score in this match , we have the strike force required to do so. One hell of an encounter to look forward too. Only thing that worries me is that Im pretty sure we're going to play a 4-5-1 which is going to affect drastically our normal attacking football , I'd rather have a 4-4-2 go all out on them. They are a quality team , just not as good as us if we attack we could win this match. I see Ronaldo scoring for us , shutting up all those dumb remarks coming from the Roma side, he usually silences his critics.

From BBC
Roma defender Christian Panucci has warned United winger Cristiano Ronaldo he can expect no favours from the referee.
Panucci told the Daily Mail: "Ronaldo's class is unquestionable but he exaggerates his falls and we won't fall for tricks.
"I believe he abuses his dribbling talents and a lot will depend on the referee but in Roma, Ronaldo will not be daring enough to do it."
Brazilian striker Mancini added: "I've watched Premier League matches and he is protected by referees. I don't think he will be on Wednesday."
I expect better from professionals than to go out and attack an amazing player like Ronny. This really pissed me off and now I'm REALLY hoping Ronaldo can bag a few goals.

The most important thing is to score a goal. If we lose without scoring over there, we're out. I think Scholes will be super key for us for this one.
The atmosphere will be f'n rocking .. u don't wanna fuck with Romanistas! Let's hope the lads don't get intimidated by that.
C'MON YOU REDS!
