I am heartbroken.
All the hard work (despite the crap away form in europe) and we reached the semis for the 8th time only to be knocked out by Milan yet again. This was the worst ever performance by United I witnessed since I actually started supporting them during the 2002/03 season when I had started watching football. Only Scholes tried hard, all the rest were either over-powered or didnt know what to do with a merciless Milan going for the kill.
Vidic had a poor game, and he was slow to react many times showing his match fitness was poor and he was rushed in.

Its a team sport cant blame any one indivual , utd as a unit where not up for it last night . Feel saf had a bad night too but it happens . Milan were 3 goals better than us its something to work on . If we are at the same stage next year i expect us to be better for it after last nights defeat . Sir Alex and Ronaldo have both been brilliant this season cant turn on them now .

At the start of the season people were saying we were fighting for 3rd or 4th place in the premiership. We could win the premiership on Saturday ! Last nights match showed there is still work to do but we are a class act to have made it that far. There has been some amazing football played by United in Europe this season. Not bad for a team that couldn't escape the group stages last season. I'm dissapointed with the performance but we just dont seem to travel well at the moment. Well i'm gonna nurse my hangover and drink tea for the rest of the day. Come the weekend, this will just be a blurry memory.
Keep the faith brothers, we want our title back #unitedbanner#

Milan wanted it more and we were nervous and went to pieces again in the San Siro. People will praise Kaka but it was Gattusso that was the difference. He was FIERCE! He took Ronaldo out of the game and had a will to win that I haven't seen since Keano. He looked like he had been released from solitary confinement for one game.

Yeah he looked like 'the mad monk'. Scary. I wish he was a united player, we need a bit of steel.

Wit me thinks...scousers dont stand a chance They're set up for europe, I really do think they'll beat Milan, I hope they don't but Milan really aren't that good, we let them play around us tonight, you can bet the likes of Gerrard and Mascherano will close them down and battle more than we did, like I said they're suited to european football. I think you're possibly right about Liverpool winning but are you saying that the difference between us is that we didn't have players who closed down and battled while they do? You imply though that if they do, it means they're "better set up for Europe" than us are you? Not having any of it - not for a minute. Battling is what any team with heart and passion must deliver at least. Never mind whether we win or not - I want to see United players giving a shit about how they perform. I was totally fucking ashamed of the manner in which we whimpered out of Europe's premier competition last night. The shirt-wearers last night showed no pride in the shirt ; no pride in themselves and frankly were a fucking disgrace. They allowed Milan to dictate the pace of the game. I've heard some people saying that Milan played their passing game at a slower pace than our game. So why didn't we have any of the closer-downers in their faces ? Why didn't we see any battling spirit that you're telling me Liverpool have got? Our lot ought to have had the bottle to fight and get the ball from Milan and play the United way. They ducked the challenge last night out there in the pissing rain and allowed Milan to take the piss really. Unforgiveable in my book that for United shirt-wearers.

I was so distraught that I couldn't even log on yesterday.
Utd were like the Marie Celeste - signs of life, but no one home.
Let's all hope that Fergie's hair-dryer treatment motivates the team for Saturday!
