Thanks to the magic of work computers not being able to get anything really useful, i had to endure this whole match by way of the 'live' text updates on the BBC website. How well did we play?

i listened to it on the radio and a lot of what I heard said was "scrappy" so I'll go with that consensus until I see the highlights. We got the win but I find it a bit disconcerting that we're not seeing more goals from the players whose job it is to get goals. I'm all for goal contributions from all over the pitch, so I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering when the strikers will ummm strike.

Saying you probably shoot me after the things im going to say about a certain player is an euphemism; But once again ive not been impressed by Tevez running around the pitch doesn't mean you're useful for the team...how many shots on target he had?One or maybe two thats not enough.Sorry. Im sorry but i expected a bit more from him, from what i seen so far im a bit disappointed,i hope to see the real Tevez soon and not the one who keeps playing in the midfield, cos we need a stricker no another midfield player. Talking about the game i think we played a good game against a good side,is never easy playing against Everton and we took 87 mins to score our first goal-Yesssss Vida!! is the man!! - I dnt wanna talk about the ref cos i think he's a joke almost all his decisions were against us,he booked Ronnie for the same thing an Everton player did in our area in the first half. Nani as usual has been amazing i feel sorry for Silvestre and i hope his injury is nothing serious,im also glad for Piquè he didn't played too much so far but im always happy when Fergie gives the youngsters a chance. We miss Rooney up front and i can't wait to see him next week for the champions league game. My man of the match today is...God i dnt know im struggling to decide cos Evrà did well but also Vida did well and he scored as well, for this week i pick up vida!!

i would tell everyone not to worry on the goal front, saha came on we were better again, how many effing times do i have to say this GIGGS CAN'T PLAY OFF THE FRONT MAN!!!! stop doing it ffs when we get going in one game we'll really start then, points mean prizes at the mo, we'll start playing more fluidly when the new players learn each others game tevez sounded like he had a good game, we can only get better!!

Only saw patches of the game due to crappy streams but from what I saw it was a similar story to our other games, had enough of the ball but never really created that many clear cut chances and needed someone to bail us out, this time it was Vidic from a near post header instead of Saha (At least we're making use of our numerous corners now, probably 'cos Giggs wasn't taking it ) so we have to be happy with the result but we still look far from convincing performance wise.

Can't criticise United very much, every time Everton got a sniff of the ball it was spanked back up the other end, they made it a shocking game and we'll have to deal with that as fans, as a lot of teams will do that to United this season The reff was a bit peculiar, Scholesy probably should have been sent off, Ronaldo should have been booked for diving, but not when he actually got booked. There was a foul on VDS when he rushed out once, the reff ignored that then gave the one which wasn't a foul later. I thought he lost the game and made it scrappy. Tevez was the only source of inspiration for 60 minutes of that game, i won't sit here and criticise Giggs for not showing up as a front man, because if he didn't take the defenders away and effectively take himself out of the game, Tevez wouldn't have been involved in the same way, Giggs is also not a striker. Ronaldo also looked pretty lazy today. His free-kicks have to stop, especially in situations like today. 3 of them wasted on the wall in decent positions Decent performance from United at a hard ground to play at, they deserved the win. Still no Rooney or Saha starting so it's not like we've got nobody coming back to improve things. Hope Silvestre's not out for long, it looked bad

First things first, get well soon to Mikky because the injury looked bad. He's not had the best of luck with injuries recently.
Secondly, the win was the most important thing and thankfully we got it because we couldn't afford to drop any more points so early on in the season.
Criticising Tevez when he has been asked to play right up top is unfair and stupid to be honest, yes he's a new lad but when Rooney is put up there he is given the benefit of the doubt because we know it's not his natural position the same should go with Carlos. He looked a lot better when Saha came on against both Sunderland and today against Everton.
The positives from this game are that Ronaldo was back, Saha got another appearance under his belt and we kept a third consecutive clean sheet - four in six games this season. AND don't forget we still have a lot of players to return to the frame.
To make things just a little bit better today, Liverpool have just drew, Arsenal are losing and Chelsea face a difficult tie against Blackburn. The performance was little to be admired but the result was vital and if a few things go our way it'll get even better.
NEMANJA, WOOOOO, NEMANJA, WOOOOO HE COMES FROM SERBIA HE'LL FUCKIN' MURDER YA!

I dnt wanna hide my doubts about him,and i really hope to celebrate one of his goals soon.It must be difficult for him as well im not saying its easy. But im a bit disappointed.

Probably Tevez's best game for us so far - but nothing special. if his best near-miss had gone in, then it'd have helped him (and us) a lot.
Scholes could easily have been sent off - I hope he'll remember the experience on Wednesday.
Ronaldo looked out of sorts - not sure if I could even put my finger on just what was going wrong, a bit slower than usual perhaps, a bit less certain in the "flights of fancy" moments - I think he misses Rooney (and Neville) he's not got quite the same instinctive response with anyone else. Did better with Saha on. I didn't agree with the booking.
Giggs is a winger - I guess he could play the Scholes role, but not when Scholes is on the field.
Congrats to Vidic.
Commiserations to Silvestre - that looked painful.

Well we're not playing amazing and were still picking up the 3 points, cant complain. Will be nice to rooney and saha fit sooner rather than later and get some goals and confidence behind the team.
