I didn't think it was a poor peformance actually. We passed the ball really well, defended well, but we just couldn't create or take chances. I do agree that we do need an out and out striker, and I think if Saha had been fit enough to start against Everton he would have done. As for him making a difference when he came on, I'm not so sure about that.

I thought he did, he was a different threat up-front, and it allowed Tevez to roam about a bit more, which made us look like we could carve them open.

What ever happened to wingers playing down the wing. Ronaldo and Nani love cutting inside and it was left to Evra the fullback to bomb down the wings.

I'd agree with you there mate, there was a lack of shape in the team yesterday.

yeah the so called 'hole' got really congested with the wingers cutting inside and running into the space where Tevez and Scholes like to operate. For the life of me i cannot understand why the wingers have stopped crossing the ball. I do realize that with only 1 front man the box is empty alot of the time but surley we need to put the defense under pressure and some whipped in crosses do that perfectly.
