played well, shut down fabregas but Hleb was main problem
and why why we let them play their game?? we stand to far from their players let them time and space to think and give ball, we need to close them fast. they was very aware from our attack and when we get the ball everyone was behind the ball and was hard to get a chance on goal.
anderson should cool his temper a little bit down, first collided with Flamini and then with fabregas and much talking with referee. good result but if I know we were so close from 3 points this is not good, moral win for them

I said I'd take a draw, but now it feels like a defeat. We once again missed out on a great opportunity, and got lazy. No excuses. We know that if we play our best we can easily beat Arsenal, even at the Emirates. If we had beaten them, there was a large possibility they would not cope well with their first loss. It's still a draw against a top side away from home, so it's definitely not bad. Just disappointing. Evra was brilliant btw.

Is it possible that United can only really play to their full potential with a Saha type striker on the pitch? Definitely I mean Tevez and Rooney just don't work I mean last few games they have both looked awful, we couldn't seem to find the net with those 2 Upsetting to concede so late when we were soo close but thats football and a draw away to arsenal is quite good when you think about it. Still absolutely gutted though. A blackburn win will cheer me up slightly though!! And I don't understand why people are slating Anderson for aguing, the ref was an absolute tit today and anderson was right to try and sort him out. Also I think he played very well today. One think I noticed was the lack of Fabregas' influence, Hargreaves and Anderson really kept him quiet, Hleb however ran riot down the right(his left). Can't wait for the long overdue return of Neville! Evra was quality today btw. Hope our defence sorts itself out quickly though, Gallas was free back post for his goal, Fabregas was free in the box for his and they just didn't look right all game.

At the end of the day we got a result in their back yard. In all fairness we did not deserve to win. They pretty much dominated the midfield and had too much time on the ball. Great to see Carrick and Saha back, and with Neville back for the reserves all is not doom and gloom

Cant believe no-one got sent off Oh well, 1 point better than none. And we were the away team. Nearly ripped my shirt when Ronaldo scored. What a move.

Him pressurising the ref didn't bother me, but I can't stand it when players wave imaginary cards. There is no need. Its not good to see from anybody. United players included. He did play well though.

I thought they had got a penalty when they got their second only to see the ref point down to the centre circle.

I thought they had got a penalty when they got their second only to see the ref point down to the centre circle. Yeah me too! It was a great finish from Gallas tbf. But how Evra didn't get man of the match today was a joke.

A fair result all in all. Arsenal is always a tasy encounter where the result never really seems to equate to anything thats 'on paper'. A tactical battle as always and credit to Hargreaves and Anderson for largely controlling them, except for the first 15min after the break. Neither team really got flowing but thats just how it went.
The emirates is no easy 3 points game, frankly im happy with the draw. It was also a good result for the Prem, its made things a bit tighter up top. Are marking at set pieces is worrying me somewhat atm. Hopefully we can get that sorted.

Ferguson critical of referee Webb Ferguson complained of a hostile crowd at Arsenal Sir Alex Ferguson accused referee Howard Webb of favouring Arsenal in Manchester United's 2-2 draw. The Gunners twice came from behind to salvage a draw at home on Saturday.
"I think Howard Webb has a great chance to be the top referee but today was a big game for him and, at times, he favoured Arsenal," Ferguson told MUTV.
"Their second goal came from him not giving a free-kick for a foul on Louis Saha on the far side. It should've been a foul for us."
However, Ferguson stated it was hard for referees not to be influenced by hostile home crowds.
I am pleased that in two big games we had to run after the score and we did that both times
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
"It is very difficult for the referee," he added. "On our bench, we were getting terrible abuse from people two or three feet away from us.
"There is a lack of security. It is absolutely disgraceful the abuse you and your staff take. All sorts of things are been shouted and screamed at you and there is an absolute danger here."
Ferguson had thought his side had done enough to win the match when Cristiano Ronaldo put them 2-1 up with eight minutes left.

I glad your all dissappointed because again we got mugged at the emirates but take into account that a 2-2 draw is a good result, you have to expect arsenal to have most of the ball because thats there game at home. Saying that, on the counter we were more than a handful, rooney missed a bloody sitter but considering the opposition and inuries it was a good result. Anderson was good minus his distastful yellow card jibe at cesc, hargreaves was solid, evra was top man considering this is his first game in 2 weeks. Its a good result, move on. I we can play like that at the emirates, anfield should be a bloody stroll

Sir Alex: We threw it away Sir Alex Ferguson was fuming after United's failure to keep the lead cost them dear in a dramatic draw at the Emirates Stadium.
The boss believes his team threw away a great chance to beat their rivals, and pointed to the first of two Arsenal equalisers as the source of his irritation.
"We threw it away, we were in a winning position twice," Sir Alex told MUTV.
"The goal that angered me most was the goal we gave away after half-time. To lose a goal from taking a throw-in at their corner flag was criminal."
The goal in question, scored by Cesc Fabregas, came only three minutes after Wayne Rooney had given United the lead - albeit with the half-time interval inbetween.
"It was a marvellous time for us to score, just before half-time. We should have been buoyed by that and we did start the second half well with good possession. Then we gave the goal away and for the next five to ten minutes after that they got at us."
United weathered that early second-half storm and the score remained at 1-1 for the next half-hour. Sir Alex was then as surprised as anyone when the Reds broke through again.
"I couldn’t see either team scoring a second goal. To then score our second when we did and give it away in injury time is hard to take, really hard to take. Arsenal got out of jail.
"The result doesn’t tell you anything as both teams are going to be challenging. But the draw's good for Chelsea and Liverpool and there are a lot of twists and turns to come."

Just got back from the pub and what was a sore throat this morning is now an extremely hoarse one now from all of the singing. Let's see where to begin...well the first half I thought we looked really nervous on the ball and could not connect as smoothly as Arsenal were so we did not look the better team for most of that time. They did a good job of neutralizing Ronaldo so he didn't get the chance to terrorize down the wing as he usually does. Didn't appreciate Anderson constantly mouthing off to Webb (despite Webb's sketchy officiating) because the last thing we would have needed was another player on a yellow card. I was glad that we were able to contain Arsenal and keep them from making the most of the possession but I had hoped we would have looked as good on the ball as them. Conceding the goal early in the second half was a bit deflating but at the same time it gave us the drive to get out there and take the game to them rather than sitting on the 1-0 lead which I thought would have been the wrong thing to do. I thought Hargreaves' presence might interrupt the passing game more but Arsenal were everywhere and that was pretty annoying. We certainly looked better the second half by connecting more and creating chances, the passes that lead up to Ronaldo's goal were nice to watch. We got two points at the Emirates which is fine for the score sheet and league stats, but it felt like a loss to me because on two occasions we were not able to contain them. I thought our edge would come in the form of better defending, the kind that would confine Arsenal to passing well outside our area and little opportunity to score. I'm not slating the defense because we weren't bad but it would have been nice to keep the lead. Taking points from Arsenal isn't critical at this stage of the season but we can't assume it will be any easier later on so we have to seize every opportunity. Well onward and upwards!
