i never realized how much more confident vidic is with ferdinand. especially with john oshea hacking at every ball. anderson gave the ball away easily. the presence in the box from was not what i hoped. there just seemed to be that intangible. its good to come off a win when we play sloppy!

Well, we won, it´s good... But, Everton defending superbly and our players almost sleeping, it was a really nervous match... Let´s hope our players will be playing better in the next match...

Very lucky today. Poor all around, Even Ronaldo wasn't at his scintialting best. Everton wanted it more. Fortunately class always shows.

I thought Ronaldo played really well actually. He took the initiative to attack and well obviously his two goals were huge.
Simpson still needs some work especially on following his man and closing down attackers. Brown played terrible I thought. Should have closed Pienaar quicker. Tevez tried too much today again. He would run at defenders when he has Giggs or O'Shea to his outside ready to cross.
But a win is a win and thank you Mr. Pienaar for the early Christmas present.

the performance was pants really. We didn't deserve to take the lead but when we did we just switched off. Fergie's selection nearly back fired badly, If pienaar hadn't of made a ridiculous challenge we would got what we deserved really. I can't think of one decent performance, maybe ronaldo but he was in and out of the game. Why doesn't anyone want to play centre forward, too many NO 10's on the pitch

It was a good game, but not a good one to watch. I was biting my nails until we got the penalty. Very frustrating. Everton were never going to be an easy opponent. We didn't play to our best and still won. I'm happy. Get the A Team back against Sunderland and give them a tanking. Sorry Keano.

Tough match, played quite poorly, but we still got three points. Not complaining.
Bring on Keano !

Had we played to our full potential it would have made for a much more interesting match but we got the result no thanks to our own creativity. I didn't think there would have been an winning goal otherwise because we weren't creating anything that looked to bother the Everton defense but a win is a win and it was a nice penalty by Ronaldo to send Howard the other way.

Why would it be a fair result if it was a draw? We conceded a soft goal and Everton sat back and tried to defend the point for the second half. Based on the first half, yes, I'd say a draw was even, but in the second half, Everton offered NOTHING.
We were fortunate that Everton showed inexperience at the back and gave away the penalty, but I strongly deserve we deserved every one of the three points today, because we played for a win, and they played for a draw. You come to Old Trafford playing for a draw then you deserve everything you get...which is usually nothing! Maybe I need to watch MOTD or something, because to read people say "Everton wanted it more" makes me think I've been at a different game!
I thought it was all about Giggs today. I love it when he plays like that. Always seems to come out with the ball, taking players on, playing good balls. Rooney was great second half. Evra worked his balls off, as per usual.
Complaints: John O'Shea was fucking SHIT. Carrick contributed nothing positive to the match and looked lightweight...would have been massively exposed if we were playing at Goodison today.

Tough game this. I'd go 2-0 Utd, Rooney to score first, with a late goal from Ronnie making it look a bit more comfortable than it was. This game and West Ham away are our toughest for quite a while so a win tomorrow will set us up nicely. You were right about some of it!!!!! Although I hate the scouse cunts, their song about team full of rapists made me laugh, even if it's tight. I heard that Rio "had a niggle" but I reckon Feergie dropped him, he always seems to be in the middle of organising trouble, like that party! Good game second half, not bad atmosphere around me, in NE Quadrants Tier 2, was anoyne else there? Ronaldo is too fucking good, I read something in the paper this morning, goals in all comps for premierhsip players, everyone 10 or under except Robbie Keane and Torres on 15 and Ronaldo on 17, now 19! Defence looked unsure, luckily Everton didnt look great, no special performance today, except Ronaldo and Giggs in bits. Want to see this if it's replayed later, and on MotD I will. Frst goal by Ronnie was special!

I dont think we played poorly - the game vs Bolton was poor but not this one - the passing and movement was brilliant most of the times it was just the final ball in the box and some quick thinking Evertonians that denied us the chance of getting goals.

another thing. this was carricks chance to show that he deserved to play more than he has. he made some nice passes but never really moved. he just tried to launch over the top of the defense.

First, the win wasn't lucky at all. The second half performance for the first 30 minutes is probably the best aggressive territorial play by any team i have seen in some time. All this without Hargreaves, Rio and VDS. I thought the Saha Carrick substitution robbed us from a presence in midfield, and Fergie being the master, sent out Fletch to sort it out in the final 10 minutes and took off the tiring Anderson. It was a stupid foul by Pienaar, but the boy was impressive in his play. Remember this is his first season too. A very very good player, but this wasn't his day. Giggs, Ronaldo and Rooney in the second half all had brilliant matches, and so did Vidic and Brown, Giggs being the star man. Simpson in the first half got caught out a couple of times, but it wasn't a very bad performance from him defensively. Fergie i am sure subbed him out for an experienced player to bomb forward and yet not get caught out. John O' Shea legend.Although he made a couple errors initially , the defence was shaky overall. Rio and Hargo might return for the boxing day fixture , but VDS is out Kuszczak was pathetic. Hope Van Der Sar returns soon. This Everton team is certainly going places. Phil Neviller, Good luck and Thank you for the memories. You'll be remembered with warmth for your performances from us. Tim Howard, Cahill, Yobo, Jagielka and Pienaar till that challenge had a good match. Merry Christmas.

Agreed on most points there scott but we didn't deserve to win everton were always dangerous on the break plus they defended really well, we did that last week does that make us any less deserving than everton. Carrick was really ordinary today and showed very little for his expensive price tag, quite frankly he's got worse than last season, at least last season he was contributing quite a lot in the second half of the season. Anderson had a poor game aswell but its expected sometimes. I was kind of disappointed not to see Nani start. His pace and energy would have given them greater problems that giggs. Yes we got the points but a worrying performance with a couple of tough matches on the horizon and fergie calling ronaldos performance 'absolutely perfect' worries me more.
