We'll probably get Chelsea or Citeh away! It would be good to get Peterborough, and have a Fergie vs Fergie! As long as win 4-0 though!! With regard to the Villa game, it was yet another flat performance from the lads; they seem to be waiting for something to happen. However, Villa didn't help matters and our defense was rock solid. The return of Rooney is well-timed as he does inject energy into our play; he was the catalyst for the win yesterday. As others have mentioned, Carrick was better and did break down Villa attacks pretty well. However, he still looks lost at sea at times. I now await the draw for the 4th round.....

Anyone from outside the Prem would be a good draw... City or Peterborough would great

We were a little flat yesterday but we were playing one of the form teams in the Premiership, away from home, at the end of a busy Christmas and we won. Job done really. We have a clear week now until its Newcastle at home.

Villa must bloody hate us ;D Rooney, what a superstar. I was desperate for Fergie to bring Rooney on, but clearly he timed it to perfection. Just enough time to make the perfect impact. Fuckin ell that lad is just great isn't he? Reminded me of Pompey in the Cup last season ;D I thought Carrick was lots better today, still not great, but better. What the fuck were the commentators chatting though, saying the Carrick was above Hargreaves in pecking order. And "I can't remember the last time Rooney started". Er, how about Boxing Day you wanker, a week ago. Park is great to have back. Giggsy really worked today. At 1-0 and coming to the close of the game he ran all the way from the other end of the box to chase the ball back, and made a great tackle. Haven't seen him doing stuff like that for a while. Not a great performance, but we were playing tougher opposition away and did the job. The fans were fucking awesome. Credit to them. Sang ALL match. Hilarious when "You couldn't sell all your tickets" bellowed out. Agree with every bit there, I heard the commentators too, I was thinking what the fuck are they on about? Although, Giggs may have worked hard but he was shite today until moved left, we should have played Ronaldo upfront not Giggs!

Don't understand why SAF plays Giggsy upfront it never seems to work. Let him play his natural positition . CR7 can play anywhere!. Great result. Rooney was great coming on. anyone know if Tevez will be fit for Saturday?
Did I say I got tickets E233. Only my 3rd game this season. Really looking forward to it. First game we went to this season was Spurs. Could be more chants of " You're getting sacked in the morning" De ja vu.

I thought Carrick was decent, but he's still got a hell of a lot to prove by the summer if he wants to remain at the club. Motson can't remember where he's put his false teeth in the morning, let alone the last time Rooney played. Quite a few Prem clubs knocked out so just as much chance of drawing a lower league side in the next round, hopefully Havant.

I'm sorry but Carrick didn't play decent, the only time he did anything was when he had 2 shots saved after 90 minutes. He slowed the play down every time he got the ball, or started playing backwards. In my opinion he was shit, and didn't play anywhere near the £18 million price tag on his head.

Think that's total rubbish to be honest mate. He was much better than he has been recently, and I thought he had a good game yesterday.

Great game, in the end. Couldn't believe how much I could hear our lads well done to Tomo and Rob and everyone else who went. Next round I don't care who we get as long as its an away game. I just can't afford a home game yet cup game just yet. Bloody ACS!!!!!

Thank God none of you have a decision as to whom leaves and who stays, Ronaldo, Saha, Carrick,Giggs, fletcher, Oshea, Evra, Anderson would have gone by now.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion #thumb# Yeh complete contrast of opinion, i thought Carrick was just as bad as the last game. The proofs in the pudding too, he was losing the ball everytime he got it, misplacing passes and kicking it off the pitch quite a bit. Needs to get his act together, as does Brown by the way, not been so effect down the right recently. Wonder why..
