Very good read Sil. I wouldn't go so far as saying that Sepp Blatter is on a mission to destroy the passion of the game, he just doesn't realize that his policies may very well do that. Silly things like issuing cards for players taking their shirts off or being over zealous in celebrating after scoring a goal does nothing detrimental to the game, it actually makes the happiness between player and spectators a shared experience.
As for Platini, well he's got some interesting ideas though I don't think they're solutions to the issues he's looking to solve. Restricting clubs to spending what they make for transfers may affect smaller clubs than it will larger ones that take in money from merchandising and lucrative TV deals. Signing players owned by third party groupd needs to be explored more rather than just making an outright ban of the process. I'm not a fan of companies "owning" players but I'd want an inquiry as to how it can work without exploiting anyone. He's got other ideas on limiting the amount of clubs from each league that should be included etc. so I'm really interested in seeing how many of these ideas are entertained.

Always the the neutral eh babe. And I disagree about the owned players, it does need to be banned as strictly speaking it's slave trade.

I'm not neutral for the sake of it, just because if I'm not competely informed of an issue I'm more interested in seeing what it's pros and cons are rather than just being for or against it. I'm somewhat familiar with the issue of these third party groups controlling rights to players but I wouldn't call it slavery because it's strong rhetoric; I'm sure players aren't "owned" and could get out of their association with these agencies if they really had to.

Nothing wrong with having different opinions, I'm fully aware of that my opinions are rather... strong
