Fuck me that Katsidis is a powehouse, 3rd round KO, punch after punch, hit him with few huge ones up tight, he's a massive puncher!

Mitchell never seemed focused. I think he was just there for the atmosphere.

was a piss poor performance by mitchell, simply the wrong opponent for him, and im very suprised that Frank warren put him in with Katsidis, instead of the local bus driver or binman. mitchell should come back from this and win a title at 135lbs, but this should be his last step up in weight, he looked very small compared to Mike and in the end it showed with that brutal ko.
Khan was very good against Malignaggi, however i think Paulie is gone from top level competitiveness

Due to there being a lot more activity in the General Sport section about Boxing, it's time it got it's own thread. So, let's kick it off. Who is you're favourite boxer (present)? - 'Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Who is you're favourite boxer (all time)? - Pacman and Rocky Marciano. What fight was you're favourite of all time? - Rocky Marciano v Ezzard Charles, and Manny Pacquiao v ODLH. What fight are you most excited about? - I would say Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao .

I think Paulie was just there for the pay check, he is only a shadow of the boxer he was, but hey age gets us all some how

paulie was finished after cotto banged him up. the guy had fractured cheek and ribs and looked a mess. since then it was all gone, he could have beat hatton but fear was and issue, cotto took him out, its hard to bounce back from that sort of beating, just like margarito did cotto

Good news about Manny Pacquiao at least. He has agreed to the blood tests. Now the ball is in Floyds court.

Great now Mayweather can show him how its done. We might be Manchester United fans, but I think we are divided on this one. What you have to remember is that when Mayweather fought Moseley, Moseley was finished at the end of the 2nd round. He could have taken Mayweather out just towards the end, but he just lost his strength. After that, you could say that Mayweather just toyed with him for the rest of the fight. With that being said, I think Pacquiao will pose problems for Mayweather, because Mayweather has never been in with anyone who what we regards as a high-volume puncher. When Pacquiao went into the final round of the 1st fight of three where he lost, he had already thrown 729 punches, not including those thrown in the final one. So, he can throw, throw and throw. Anyone who has fought Mayweather has given him peace and tranquility, but I am certain that Pacquiao won't give him a minutes peace.

I think Mayweather is too clever for Pac man. Pac man is very easily frustrated, and when annoyed he can drop his game plan. If this happens once when in the ring with mayweather he will punish. Pac Man is hard hitting and fast but Mayweather can match his speed maybe not power but he can certainly take them. Mayweather for me is just too tactical. Its like putting Ryan Giggs in the ring with Adam Johnson. Giggs would have just that little extra with his experience.

The judges in the United States always give the rounds to those who display their ability i.e throw punches, and I think Mayweather will be defensive as per usual and will throw good, accurate punches, but he doesn't really have the power to knock people out. If you remember, one of the judges gave Mayweather one more round against ODLH it really was that close, but ODLH was never a high-volume puncher. So, we know that Pacquiao can take a punch, we know he has the speed, the ability and the nous to hit and not to be hit. This fight will not end in any decision, for me it will be a K.O or a T.K.O for either of the two, though leaning towards Manny because Mayweather has the accuracy, just not the power.

if this fight happens then i will be cheering floyd all the way Manny is far superior to Mayweather, where Mayweathers fights were as manufactured as Joe Calzaghes. Normal, having a father as a trainer, puts things into perspective and no father would like to see his son get pummelled in the ring. Manny has got to the top, he has losses, he has his money, and he has his future political career ahead of him, he has nothing to lose as he has done it all. Whereas Mayweather has his "0", to lose, which means more to him than anything, hence the manufactured fights.
