Due to there being a lot more activity in the General Sport section about Boxing, it's time it got it's own thread.
So, let's kick it off.
Who is you're favourite boxer (present)? - 'The Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Who is you're favourite boxer (all time)? - Iron Mike Tyson, closely followed by The Pretty Boy and Eric 'El Terrible' Morales.
What fight was you're favourite of all time? - Eric Morales v Marco Antonio Barrera, the first one.
What fight are you most excited about? - I would say Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao but he has to over come Juan Manuel Marquez first, so that one.

Who is you're favourite boxer (present)? Miguel Cotto, fan of David Haye and the Pacman
Who is you're favourite boxer (all time)? The Sugar Man Leonard, Tyson, Calzaghe
What fight was you're favourite of all time? Benn - Eubank, Ali- Frazier, Calzaghe - Lacy, all fights I have enjoyed but the best fight I have seen without doubt, even though it was only 3 rounds was Tommy Hearns - Marvin Hagler, beast of a fight
What fight are you most excited about? Haye - Klitchzko, Cotto - Clottey and the winner of PBF/JMM vs Pacman (Just a point on this, I was reading in a local paper yesterday that Bob Arum is pushing for a Cotto/Pacman fight in November, if Cotto beats Clottey, so don't be suprised if this match is made before a PBF vs Pacman fight, thus you could have one more PBF fight before a Pacman fight, possibly a Mosley fight, Hatton rematch??
Like tel, I would like to plug a fighter, Matt Korobov - hes awesome

www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=20001seems there really going for the Pacman/Cotto showdown! If you read that link they want Cotto to drop to 142 lbs (I think), which takes away his advantage over the Pacman. It would be wise to get a catchweight of 145lbs for the fight! The Pacs camp cannot for one minute expect Cotto to drain that much weight!

I'd hate that fight to go ahead, especially if Mayweather wins, which I think he will, as it'll only delay the Pretty Boy/Pac Man fight.

And apparently, on the under card of Mayweather/Marquez we'll see Zab Judah fight, possibly against Matthew Hatton. Although the opponent hasn't been confirmed, it's likely he'll (Judah) will fight.
Could be a great under card.

the thing with floyd is he backs up the trash talk and love him or hate him there is no denying he is a boxing picasso he is the creme de la creme. i love his fights, the last two rounds with chavez was just pure skill and defense, the man can raise his game, i truly wish he has two fighjts this year and then maybe one or 2 next year then calls it a day. obviously i hope he wins the all. the candidtates have to be marquez, pacquiao, cotto and sugar shane, the first two he may knockout the latter 2 i feel he will win by ud

You will not see a PBF Cotto fight. I think PBF is an excellent excellent fighter, but he has a tendency to avoid fighters who are in their prime at 147lbs, and Cotto is one thats been getting dodged for a while. If there is going to be a fight anytime soon from the fighters mentioned above it will be Pacquiao at a catchweight or Mosley at 147lbs (and mosley even though still an excellent fighter is getting on, those be outclassed margarito).

No way will Floyd have four more fights, if anything Pacquiao will be his last fight. Especially if he wins both fights, he'll go out, Pacquiao and Mayweather are the two boxers at the top of the game right now and I think the winner will retire, what more can they prove?

For me I think PBF has alot to prove. One thing is why did he choose to fight a fighter whose natural weight is 135lbs for a comeback match, surely a Cotto fight would be more realistic in that it would generate more money than a JMM bout and its at PBFs natuaral weight 147lbs or go with Mosley, Williams. Boxing is all about politics, the smartest fighters make it and stay at the top, fighters are chosen based on what advantage they would have over them. Look at Paul Williams one of the best-pound for pund fighters in the world, Southpaw with a reach of 82, yet one fo the most avoided fighters in the world, no one wants to fight him. Hes a freak. No one will give him a shot at a title. He fucked margarito up who fucked Cotto up (my belief that the paris casts were used). Why doesnt PBF go after him?
PBF is one of the best of all time, but he has stayed this way by avoiding fighters at his natural weight.

My point was Floyd wouldn't have anything left to prove once and if he fights and beats both Marquez and Pacman. (In regard to the point about four more fights).
