What a day. United go out of the cup and the Suns lose their season opener to Dallas and were absolutely spanked in the second half. Delightful.

Ugh. Just watched the Suns come back from 10 points down, to go up by about 15 in the 4th quarter to the Pistons. We then proceed to blow it taking the game into overtime and lose. Playoffs this year again seem unlikely.

Delighted to see Magic on a bit of a run. 4th win on the trot and we are now 10-8.
We will likely end our season just under the .500 mark but absolutely delighted we are finally progressing. Still need another piece to really compete but the Dwight Howard hangover may finally have passed

As the season progresses I somehow feel KD signing with Golden state actually was a requirement for them to remain at the top of their game rather than the creation of a super team . Klay and Steph are on a lower level than last year. Without KD they probably would have had it tougher.
Or maybe it's just that they need time to gel and find out a formation that works.
The Wesbeast just keeps breaking records. Averaging a triple now. Unbelievable. Best player in the league, tied with The Brow, who needs to get the fuck out of New Orleans. He should probably link up with Westbrook . That would be a fucking team alright.

I disn't know we had an NBA thread! Wish I had when those amazing finals were on during the summer. the oldest lad is a huge Cavs fan so were were pretty excited in the house. That game 7 was off the charts for excitement.

The finals were amazing indeed,unbelievable.
I wouldnt say curry and thompson are playing on a lower level as last season.i think it can be quite difficult at the beginning when someone like durant enters a team. But durant is averaging about 27 points/game,curry 26/game and thompson is on 20 i think.i mean just these 3 guys score more or less 80 points a game. So i dont think that they dropped their level of play, its probably more the fact that all the responsibility is now separated on curry, thompson and durant.makes it a bit easier and more acceptable for a player to not deliver for a game or two as there 2 other superstars.

That game 7 was off the charts for excitement. LeBron had the greatest finals of any player ever in NBA history. With 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game, he led both teams in all five statistical categories. That's unheard of.

Steph just looks so tired though. all the time. I know he's got this Berba thing going on with his droopy eyes and demeanor. But last season seems to have taken its toll. Draymond isn't the defensive force that he was either. The teams defense is letting them down.

Great comparison to berba😂 Have to agree on that, their defense does lock a bit shacky this season and curry seems to be tired.he put in some outstanding shifts last season and could be a little burn out maybe? Nonetheless i think they'll come good, they are still the dominating force. Cleveland on the other side looks in shambles at the moment.watched their last two games, they didnt look like the old cavs.still a good record but at the moment they have to handle a huge dip in form. I hope somehow harden makes it to the finals.when howard left i thought they'll go through the same shit as westbrook and the thunder right now.but harden is a beast, one of my favourite players. Davis to oklahoma would be amazing indeed.he has to leave new orleans, too good of a player for them

Fuck Cavs and the Warriors...Let's go Lakers!!! Kobe is gone and suddenly they do better Grateful for all the memories and the championships but that last year was a bit of a disgrace. No need for the Kobe retirement tour when all those young players needed to grow. Byron Scott didn't help either. Walton is the perfect coach for this new Lakers team with all the young players and the energy. I can see a great future.
