How so? Just because we haven't had 'The Best Ever' in that time doesn't mean there ahsn't been some superb music produced in the last twenty years. Biffy Clyro, for example. But I wouldn't have them in the different stratosphere of the likes of Dire Straits. They're still a great rock band. Exactly, there will have been a few great bands that the rest of the world has never heard of like Biffy Clyro which I have never heard of because in general the British scene isn't at the level it used to be. Since then there has been the Seattle bands and the SOCAL bands etc.. Having said that I'm sure on Average it's better than most the bullshit currently coming out of America these days. |

I remember when Biffy Clyro were a psuedo-punk band. They were awful then. Now they're an MOR Arena rock band. And they're still shit. Completely forgettable. And as for stuff coming out of America not being as good as what UK bands are curning out, what an ill-conceived opinion. |

As far as I'm concerned the stuff we're flinging out over here is equally as shit as the stuff they're chucking out in America.
70% of that last Arctic Monkeys record was really good. It's the only thing of theirs I've enjoyed since the first album.

The Beatles are hippy-trippy horse manure for at least 50% of their back catalogue. Plus, they pinched (as Scousers are so prone to do) Let It Be from Arethra Franklin. Paul McCartney wrote it for her, then took it back so The Beatles could do it instead. And also, John Lennon is just annonying. Come on, he wrote it! You can't accuse him of stealing something he wrote. They waited for her to release it but it took her too long, she wasn't confident it would be a hit. So they released their version, and she released hers after she saw how successful it was. Agree John Lennon is annoying as hell though. Pompous wife beating douchebag. |

I read somewhere it may have been on here, Lennon was at the playboy mansion and pissed/stoned put a cig out on a priceless painting. Didn't give a fuck, needless to say he was asked to leave rather sharpish. Rolling stones every time for me.
