Next summer is... SUMMER OF KAGAWA. Get both! If this was a Facebook comment I'd like it. If this comment was a woman, I'd propose. Goetze and Kagawa are immense. Let's do it, buy them both!!

I was impressed with both against Arsenal, I think we'd be asking a lot though to get Gotze. Every top team in the world will be interested in him next summer, wouldn't surprise me if a few teams go for him in January even if he won't be able to play in the CL, probably end up going for £30m or so. We'd probably have a good chance of getting Kagawa but where would he fit in? It seems when fit Anderson and Cleverley will be our first choice pairing and if they continue to play as they have and get better I can't seen anyone dislodging either. On Evra, a lot of his game is going forward, admittedly, but defensively he's top 2 in the world Totally disagree with you, perhaps a couple of years ago but not anymore. Going forward he's still great but defensively he's certainly not as good as he was, hence why he's gotten quite a bit of criticism, his positioning at times can be terrible.

Or maybe a cheeky bid for Wilshere when Arsenal finish 5th.

It seems when fit Anderson and Cleverley will be our first choice pairing and if they continue to play as they have and get better I can't seen anyone dislodging either. I'm sure we could find a comfy balance between Clevs/Ando/Third one if we brought in either Goetze or Kagawa. I agree he's declined, but who can you name that's better than him? I reckon he's still top 2 defensively because there's nobody else who can match him even if he has dropped off a bit. Cole has never been as strong as some people want to make out, and Lahm has lost a step or three. Clichy is get-at-able and so is Abidal. Who else is really there, purely from a defensive aspect? Speaking of left-backs, Tyler Blackett in our Reserves/Academy has been impressing me lately. Good at the back, gets forward aswell. Could be a decent prospect.
