I backed Kyren Wilson at 18/1 for a bit of added interest. No idea what kind of form he's in this year. He's talented but I think he'll fall to someone better. Decent odds though, he's good enough to mount a run, especially if Ronnie and one or two of the other top players play below their best. Yeah I backed him as he's in a kinder quarter of the draw for me. Can see him getting to the semis where he'll likely play Robertson or Higgins who will probably beat him but hoping to get a decent run out of him at least.
Like you I like Robertson but I'm not backing him at 3/1.

Superb from the kid. Knocks out the GOAT in his first ever match at The Crucible. Even if it wasn't a fully firing and focused Ronnie.

Thought Cahill would be around 100/1 for the tournament now, so was gonna back him but luckily for him he's 66/1, so I've not bothered!

Ronnie looks knackered and he won't be arsed one bit but fair play to the lad, well deserved.

Why no red button coverage of both matches? I'm sure they usually have 2 red button channels.

Proper tense crucible match here with Maguire and Cahill. I love these types. 11/11 in the best of 25. Both players edgy and missing easy enough shots.

This has been a fucking slop-fest this, but great drama.

That foul that went against Cahill looked tight to me.
It’s like the current top 4 race with all the screw ups going on.

Don’t think anybody wanted Maguire to win that. From a snooker standpoint I wouldn’t want to watch either of them play again, but at least there was a story with Cahill.

Hawkins is 6-1 up on Kyren Wilson and playing some unreal snooker. Multiple century breaks and a 98% pot success rate.
I apologise to Wilson for backing him and in turn, turning Hawkins into peak Hendry.

Wilson has fought back well to be 9-7 down after 2nd session. Could've been 8-8 if he didn't get an awful kick on the black in the 14th frame.
